Concerned about not eating

My 10 month old female (pretty sure) went from hounding down mealies everyday to about once every 2-4 nights. I read on a different thread that this might be because it's breeding season? Is breeding season the same for all geckos? When abouts is it? Any other info on this?

Every gecko is different. You can gently bend her body backwards and see if she's ovulating. You should be able to see a pink spot (like a pencil eraser) in the middle of her belly if she is.

Ah, I see. What other sort of behaviour will she go through during this time? And I'm assumig she'll lay unfertilized eggs at some point? Is there anything I should know about this, ie. should I prepare something in the tank to help her out during this time?

Thanks!

She may or may not lay unfertilized eggs...my geckos are very, very active when they ovulate. Others sleep a ton...

Make sure she has access to calcium in her tank and that her insects are dusted as well...provide a moist hide spot with temps in the low to mid 80s for her to lay if she needs...

have a 10 month old female that I'm concerned about not getting enough to eat. She actively pursues crickets but is very bad at catching them. I've given her mealworms, superworms, dubia nimphs and brown crickets. I've had her about 10 days and she is very active and healthy looking. Should I just keep these feeders in her pen?

Yes and no.

Let me explain: If the feeders can stay in a bowl and will not escape (mealies, for instance) you should leave them in her cage overnight. Things that will roam around the cage (i.e. crickets) shouldn't be left in the enclosure. They can cause stress and will sometimes nibble on your gecko's toes/tail.

It's also possible she's not eating simply because she's not used to her new home yet. Just give her time.

I saw her eat a cricket yesterday. The crickets stay away from her. I uncovered her hide box and she was sleeping with 2 superworms. They don't seem top bother her. The crickets attacked a third superworm outside her box. I think she likes the roaches as they all seem to disapear. I'll take the crickets out of the cage every morning.

Update:

She's eating less and less. :\
As of tonight she hasn't eaten a single mealie in 4-5 days. She's acting normally, for the most part: Exploring the tank, sleeping normally, nuzzling down on the hot-spot of the tank. The only abnormal behaviour is she's showing signs of slight weakness: She's moving extra slowly and her legs sometimes twitch or "vibrate" as she moves them.

Temps are wthin normal ranges (warm, cooler, etc.)
There's a warm, humid hide for her (moist paper towel inside)
There's a cooler hide as well (half-coconut)
Mealie dish
Water dish
Calcium dish
I've been cleaning everything in the tank, including the tank itself, every 3-4 weeks

I'm going to buy some crickets this week and see if she'd rather go back to eating those.

Is there any other info or suggestions you guys could give me? I'm really concerned about her safety here. And it doesn't help that I've never had a pet reptile before..

Why dont you try feeding it something different maybe its bored of mealworms, try crickets like you said or maybe a different type of worm.
