Repti Calcium without D3
Reptivite with or without D3 but if you get it without then get calci with D3 as well bcause they need that about 1 or 2 times a month

mealies or crickets or both that is up to you..make sure if you get them it is the right size for your gecko ..example: baby leos small crickets and medium mealies.

no less then 10 gal tank for one leo. repti carpet, tile or paper towels for substrate..no sand! Sand causes impaction and will only bring you and your gecko problems and possible death to your leo.

UTH or Under Tank Heater for one side of the tank. You want to place it underneath the glass and it will be the warm side of the tank for your leo.

Digital Probe Thermometer to check the uth warm side temp under the warm hide on top of substrate.

3 hides one over uth and substrate for warm dry..moist hide..can be on either side of tank you prefer and can be just a tupperware container with cocofiber in it or sphag moss with an opening eithe ron top in cover or on side of container. One dry cool hide for the opposite side of the tank from uth.

calcium dish that can be a small cover from gatorade or something ..calci without D3 in tank at all time. With D3 only dusted on feeders occasionally. Water dish and food dish also can be covers from gatorade or something but if using it for mealies you may want to find something with slippery sides so they cannot climb out.

I think that's all I can think of for now lol but if I missed something please someone explain lol. Good luck with your new gecko :)

He will stay in his hide a lot until he gets used to his new home, that might be 4 to 6 days. I feed my gecko superworms, I would advise not to use crickets because they can cause pin worms & thats not good.:main_no: If you wonder what sustrate to use, I use linoleum, its super easy to clesn & you dont have to keep buying & replacing it like paper toewls. I just went to our down-home country store & asked if they had any scraps, they sold me 4 yards for only $3!!! Just measure the bottom of the tank, cut to fit & secure it down with doule sided tape on the corners & anywhere it might be poking up. It also absorbs heat from the lamp & gives off good & much liked belly heat. NO SAND:main_thumbsdown:!! Sand causes impaction & can kill quickly. Also moss can sometimes cause impaction, thats one reason I just stuck with linoleum. I only have expandable eco earth coco fiber in my moist hide.

You should get some pictures of your gecko when you can, we love photos here:main_laugh:

Yea he is semi getting used to it already. I fed him 3 mealies this morning and he snatched them up quick. I am concerned that he isn't drinking water. Will he figure all this out himself or will I need to point him in the right direction? And I put linoleum on the bottom for his liner. Is 82-83 degrees too low I know it is supposed to be 85-95 but is that ok or will I need to purchase a new light of some sort?

You should probably get a light (infrared or ceramic heat element [CHE]. The temp should be closer to 90*

As far as water goes, yeah, trust me he's drinking it. They're really discreet about it and most people don't even notice. Leos are desert animals and don't need a lot of water to begin with. If you stop seeing urates in his poop (the white part), see his skin hanging off him, and he gets really lethargic, then you'll need to worry, not before then.
