Sorry, too busy to play genetics teacher today, but striped traits are not simple recessive and can be passed on for generations.

I agree that striped traits are indeed not simply recessive. That has already been proved out so much and is also my experience. However I can also understand Thorsten.
But how to realy decribe if it's not simply recessive?

I just have to ask; when you guys are talking about patternless you don't name murphy patternless at all. In Bananan blizzad it's murphy patternless and in Raptor it's just a patternless look, right? It's not the same gene. So I can't follow your discussion about patternless+blizzard+ raptor here. And lack of pattern is also a kind of pattern. You can't have revers stripe and murphy patternless at the same time, but it seems like the patternless stripe is something else (the raptor "P").

However. Do you know if there are any MS DB out?

Lottiz, the Raptor patternless look is not the murphy patternless gen their your right.
But a Raptor a real pure original looking one should look patternless.
Some say the Raptor pattern is a combo of Stripe and reverse stripe and that could realy be good.
However a Banded Eclipse Albino is not what formaly is ment with Raptor in my opnion.

And my guesses just were that if a BB with Murphy in it looks yellowish than maybe a DB with the patternless strip gen involved(I know blizzard gen overcomes it) could also look yellowish which could explain the yellowish colour some DBs have and some not.
It also could be that the witish are patternless stripe or nothing of this who knows that are my thinkings about it :)
But still a BLizzard Raptor should have the patternless stripe even if you can´t see it.
I mean you also can´t realy see if a Blizzard has a Patternles gen involved but you can proov it to have booth gens.

I agree100% with Thorsten. I think when the patternless(raptor) is involved, the yellow/orange colour pass trough other dominant morph like blizzard, i see another example on Ron's avaiable page; a SS eclipse...it looks very yellow. (sorry for my bad english)

Thank you,

Yes, I think you can prov them out. My Blizzard male (or banana blizzard if the parents are what the breeder told me) will be mating a murphy patternless albino and a raptor female 2009. I want to prov his banana genes and se what offsprings he will give with a Raptor.
But I also got a blacka eye mack snow blizzard male. I have an idea to let him have an other of my Raptor females.
-What can a BS MS blizzard + Raptor bring?? I know R.T say there is no black eye DB... but the melanistic opposite to an amelanistic blizzard+raptor would be blizzard+black eye PRS, or?

With that you will know if the BLizzard has teh Patty gen involved and will have Patty het Bababa BB that would be cool!. With the Raptor you should have normals het for Raptor and Blizzard and Patternless(if male is patternless) and with these also for Ember and DB and Banana BB *G* the ultimative morph maker *G*

With the Black eyed MS BLizzard, I have 2 BB here with black eyes and seen it oftent around so this is quiet normal. I guess it won´t work with the Eclipse gen but maybe your lucky and have eclipse gen hidden?

Your right you could produce a nonalbino DB but so far Ron is right a DB is Albino so can´t have black eyes.
I dunno if a non Albino version is already made but I guess Ron used only Albinos to produce the Morphs so maybe your lucky?
YOu could breed a DB to a Patternless stripe Eclipse. Normaly you should get Eclipse het BLizzard and Albino. Pair these babies back and hope for a dirty dark grey offspring with eclipse eyes. Problem is BB have from time to time black eyes dunno if that also works on Blizzards?
