I was looking on ebay for a new digital scale ... Can I use a good DIGITAL KITCHEN scale?

What is a good priced scale to get?

I bought mine off ebay. It is a kitchen scale that has grams and it works perfectly...so go for it.

I bought the 300gram myweigh scale from reptile basics. i've had to have it replaced twice. It's a great scale when it's working though. :-/ i bought a postal scale from ebay and it would not register small geckos and hatchlings. I still need to return the myweigh scale again; i just keep forgetting. The pocket scale i have is a pain, but it's accurate.

I bought a non-pocket scale from Ebay that measures in 1/10 grams, and goes up to 500g (I think). I bought it a few years back for $20 and it works perfectly. If you'd like, I can look up the model # for you.

I got a postal scale from Wal-Mart for around 20 bucks. It works great, even for hatchlings, and seems quite accurate. The only complaint I have is that I wish it was in .1 gram increments instead of 1 gram increments, but it really hasn't been a big deal. I have no plans to replace it in the near future.

Can you elaborate a little more on why it had to be replaced? I also am looking for a second scale because my boyfriend and I are tired of having to share one, as we live 45 minutes apart. I was looking to get a myweigh scale, the one that measures up to 7,000 grams but if its not good quality I don't want to waste my money. Thanks!

purchased mine form ebay as well its jsut a small jewlers scale but it works great... only 18.00 shipped to my door

I picked mine up from walmart. I am not sure about getting a scale that only goes to 100g. I would think you would want something that goes higher than that since some leos can go above 100g. Just my opinion.

i use a postal scale for my weighing. as lon as it read grams it should be fine

I got this scale, but I needed one that had higher weights (for the parrot), plus all my geckos are adults so it didn't matter.
