Ive heard alot of comments about these

They work well for me, I head the back with zoomed heat cable. And no escape problems since the geckos are not long/tall enough to reach the tops of the side, I keep the hide and nest box centers.

Works great for me. Back side is hot side, front side is cool side.

for 3 drawers its 17.50 and they connect if you buy more.

Leopard Gecko's need belly heat. do you have heat running under the tub as well?

Leopard geckos don't need belly heat. They need a temperature gradient in order to regulate their body temps. There are many people who build racks and have the heating element in the back and not underneath. Heating shouldn't be a major issue but escapees will be. I know that people have had issue with geckos escaping from draw systems like this. You need to keep a eye on your geckos to make sure they don't decide to make a run for it. I don't know if you'll have that problem as it looks like each drawer is separate and and flush with the top. I think the most critical spot to watch would be the back as that's typically where any gaps are usually found.

I was always told they are belly animals, and need belly heat to help them digest their foods properly.

what is a belly animal? As longs as there is a temperature gradient then you'll be fine. It will warm up the environment and the gecko whether it is belly heat or back heat.

Will back heat work for leo's? YES
Is belly heat ideal and more suitable for leo's? ABSOLUTELY

Says it on almost every leo care sheet

Back heat works...but why use it when belly heat works much better and helps the gecko to better digest since the heat is directly on the belly.

For a rack system like that, heat tape would probably be the best "belly heat" Unfortunately, the bottom of each drawer is the top of the one below it and if a curious leo was to try to touch the top of its tub and come into contact with uncovered heat tape they can burn themselves. Same thing if a heat pad was used. So in the case of a rack like this back heat would probably be safest, still, belly heat is more desirable.

I think classifying animals by what type of heating they require is a bit rough edged. You have some like Basking lizards that need a top light and a heat spot where their heat comes from both basking and the belly heat of the heat spot, leos of course, really only need temp gradient. So many different animals use different forms of heating.
