Okay, so now we have two theories. That the eclipse eye is either connected to the patterns (strip patterns), or the white tip on the nose. Here is what I wonder now. Is the eclipse eye is indeed linked with the strip genes. Why hasn’t it showed up in the other strip patterns? It is pretty unlikely that it hasn’t. But then why was RT the first to take advantage of this? If something new was discovered, I would think you would breed for it right away. So why don’t people? Also a LOT of geckos seem to have white on the tip of there noses, is this the same thing, where in fact the eclipse eye has been around for a while, and people just haven’t taken advantage of it?
Also Jeremy are the eclipse eyes that you showed, albino geckos as well? I would think that they would be red, but from what Gazz said I guess maybe not (I might have mis read it.) I would think that they would be, as the super snow eclipse eye, turns red, when mixed with the Las Vegas gene. And Mel you bring up a good point, where it is unlikely to get the combo, but possible. So Gazz might be right on that as, well. Maybe there is some ancestry in these two lines, and we are on the same road, to the same gene.
Are you planning on doing any test breeding with this group, Jeremy?
