Gregg, I`m saying me personally, I cannot breed a Bell or possibly het Bell to one. Thats all I mean by that. It would take me a bit to prove MY Enigmas without the Bell gene if I bred them to something else. I wouldnt want to chance it until then.

Ahhh I see... It looked like you were saying that the Enigma genetics are not compatable with the other two strains of albino...

Wow, you guys are the best, I get on tonight hoping to have a couple replies and I got three pages of it. Okay I am convinced to stay to the Bell strain myself for the first breeding, now I am still not sure to go with the bell snow albino or some crazy looking hybino. It will be a while before my girl is ready to breed, but I would rather figure out my male situation now as he may need to grow also and then there is the whole quarantine phase that must be gone through. So I do need to get my ducks in a row. Again, you guys rock, thanks for all the helpful info. :main_thumbsup:

Hi all,

I am a little surprised that everyone is saying a co dom snow bell, I thought for sure everyone would want to go for the crazy red/tang colored albino that Kelli has posted. Okay I know this might not even be able to be answered but anybody have any guesses of percentages of what offspring would be if bred to a bell snow? What might an Enigma bell snow even look like?

And Sandra, that was funny about a gecko being a girls best friend, I couldn't agree with that more, but my husband keeps saying I am not a typical woman because I would rather have lizards then diamonds, he threatened to clip some geckos to my ears, just so I could show off sometheing that he has bought for me ...LOL...

Thanks everyone for your help? Now the search for the perfect male begins...

My reasoning for saying a Mack Snow Bell is...

Since you can only breed one male to a single female a double homozygous morph is the best bet because it's like breeding two males in one. Once you have a male Enigma you would breed to color and pattern morphs since you can breed multiple females to a single male.

Your outcome from Enigma x Mack Snow Bell would be... (assuming she is het Bell and the het form of Enigma(in dom morphs there is still homo and het, but they look the same))

12.5% Het Bell
12.5% Bell
12.5% Mack Snow het. Bell
12.5% Mack Snow Bell
12.5% Enigma het Bell
12.5% Enigma Bell
12.5% Enigma Mack Snow het Bell
12.5% Enigma Mack Snow Bell

i would make sure to get the bell albino version ;-) aka(bell hybino, snow bell(the whitest one you can find) or a bell stripe. Good luck I look forward to pics and hearing your desision[/QUOTE]

Why as white as I can get? I found two mack snow bell albino's and one has more yellow tint then the other, the one with more color looks a little nicer/more unusual then a typical albino. So I was wondering what would make the difference with a whiter one. Don't think I am questioning your know how, just want it explained why.

Well, that's easy, just tell him to buy you two tokay geckos, bring them near to your ears and you are done. They are evil as hell.

Well, I think that the main reason for that is just that, as you said, Kelli already did it. As this morph is new, most of us want to know the results of different crosses (and Mack Snows are an easy cross because of them being co-dom), but it's also important to know the genetics of your gecko (that's the reason of the Bell part).

But they are also very cool, if you want to do that, buy a Bell hybino or a nice Tang het Bell. It's up to you :main_thumbsup: The worst thing you can do is to buy a gecko from a morph you don't like just to breed it.
