Estimate of Annual Revenue.

Hi guys, obviously we all love our Leo's here and more and more of us are starting to become little breeders ourselves. I'm just curious of some of the annual income you make/made off selling Leo's from your sites? Some years obviously might be range because one year you might reveal a morph (ex. Kelli selling her Enigma's for 2g each) and the next year maybe only sell the more common leo's.

If you would like to share any your experiences feel free

LOL! The only "Revenue" is to the Internal Revenue Service. It's a good thing I love my geckos, becasue I sure couldn't pay the bills on $6.00/hr. wages after taxes!

That said, even when we make any money from it, it goes right back into buying either more Geckos, supplies, food, or another rack that I'm constantly having to build..

Exactly! The biggest reason I make minimum wage is becasue I keep buying feeders, geckos, racks, tubs, supplies, etc. Now that I have all my racks and room finished, maybe I'll make some money this year! (yeah, right...)

I'm a little in the green... I get credits from my local pet store for the normals I sell them and it more than covers my weeks worth of feeders. In the off season it's another story... I've also adopted the rule where new geckos can only be bought with money from gecko sales.; it keeps me from going too far into the red...

are you sure your in the green? Are you factoring in all cost such as hours time caring for the leos, feeders, shipping, supplies, electric bill, etc. I think most will be in red if they do it like Marcia has shown us all broken out.

Kelli has her own breeding project but gives money to Mark Bell? I guessing she has an agreement as to being the first person to pick up this project maybe she got a super deal on the breeders or even for free but would only get half the sales from them?

Ive never heard of anyone being int he Green lol

are you sure your in the green? Are you factoring in all cost such as hours time caring for the leos, feeders, shipping, supplies, electric bill, etc. I think most will be in red if they do it like Marcia has shown us all broken out.

Even taking those into consideration I'd say I am. I only have three racks so there isn't much work and I'm not using that many watts. I get $30 each for normals and usually sell them two a week. I also get my feeders near wholesale now so that makes a big difference...

I don't know of any pet store that would buy normals for $30 each since they only sell retail for $29.99 at pet stores (local nice shops) and for $19.99 at petsmart (crappy stores)

Interesting point, I'd figure they get leos fo 10 bucks a pop or less.
