I am right with you guys there, but I know I am alot closer to understanding the differences now than I was before this post, that is why I continue to read this thread everyday, hoping someone else posts so that we can desipher (sp?) these sub-species together! Thanks Albey and everyone who has added in their expertise as well!!

Hey Albey, I was looking over my pictures of my Gem Snows and looked back on this thread, and noticed that my male Gem also is very similiar to the original line bred and the Eublepharis Macularius fasciolatus as well. See what you guys think!

I believe that is the whole point of this forum, to share ideas, techniques, etc. to collectively improve geckos one breeding at a time! Thanks

Crap. Now you tell me...

Here I was thinking that it was a great place to meet chicks....

Hey Monte...at least you met that Sally chick ;)

This certainly has been an interesting and educational thread. I agree with most of you that we're probably working with "macularius mutts" for the most part. Some of the geckos I've worked with have had such a different look...structurally...even their behavior seems distinct at times. I really wish we knew how to distinguish the various subspecies. That would really add a whole new dimension to our hobby, would it not. Just image advertising a pure bred (insert subspecies here) SHTCB. Keeping up with the morphs is hard enough...now let's work on pure bred subspecies! :main_rolleyes: Albey, thanks again for the info.
