I had only one egg from my E. macularius "montanus" (west pakistan location) group this year. And it just hatched!

Sehr schoenes Baby!

Interesting that it looks like a Mack Snow as a hatchling!! I have a Montane, too (or, at least, what was sold to me as a wild-caught Montane), and she looked very whitish when I got her as a juvenile: http://lzrdgrl.com/images/Karachi.jpg

Now, she's of a dark brown, and her tail is almost black: http://lzrdgrl.com/images/Karachibreedinggroup.jpg

I haven't seen her as a hatchling, and I wonder whether she looked like a Snow, too.

I always thought that the wild babies would be yellow-black banded?! (According to the Normal/Wild Type.) Can anybody explain why they look whitish?

I agree with tony...it kinda looks like a Mack Eclipse.

Thanks for all the nice comments! My adults also look way more whiteish than the nominat wildtype.
one of my females:

I checked the eyes again and they really look like eclipse eyes, but the father is pure bred F2 and the mother wc, so I expect the eyes to turn into normals the next days.

Thanks
Karsten
