Fear Factor...

I just watched an episode of Fear Factor.

They placed the contestants in a plastic box and covered them in hundreds of ball pythons. Then the second contestant had to remove the snakes with their teeth and move them to a seperate box.

Why is this on t.v

Half the snakes they would bite, would get smashed against the box when they rushed to drop them in the other box. This was disgusting.

People make me very angry.

Like animal abuse? They could at least make you lick each snake instead of making you have to bite them. I don't agree with using animals for entertainment( depends how you do it).

That's the dumbest fear factor stunt I've ever heard of. DUMB!!! And hurtful to the animals as well. DUMB ANIMAL ABUSE!!!

Something better would be get like a few gtp's and see who could get bit the most in a minute lolol now that's a fear factor I'd like to watch

I was unimpressed.

I did watch an episode where they made a bunch of girls shave their heads bald.
They were freaking out. That one was good.

I know the company that supplied those ball pythons and I wasn't too happy when I heard about the stunt they were planning to do on FF. Not only is it a public health risk due to possible oral/fecal contamination, but to supply that many snakes the company purchased bulk lots of subadult/adult pythons from various sources and supplied them without proper quarantine- which increases the likelihood for spread or exposure to disease!

Urban Jungles Radio had an interview with Reptile Island concerning this matter, Friday before last. The problem with any television program featuring privately owned animals is media hype, and their post production editing plays up to that to increase show ratings. This ended up being yet another program to capitalize on the general public fear of snakes. Perfect timing for pending legislation............. a caller commented that "you can't polish a turd" and imo, that's an accurate summary of the company that provided animals for this show.

I think this would show the gentle nature of many snakes...they allow people to bite them with no aggression. What I would have given for one to latch on to someones face..

It probably would damage the snake communities image, but I agree. These are gentle creatures and act like any animal would. When threatened they will retaliate.

WHY couldnt it have been rock pythons? Or something with a tad more "bite" Anywho, i suppose it is good they behaved themselves(wonder if they wernt sedated) Its still an outrage though.

The snakes were most likely chilled to make them a little more passive imo. I certainly wouldn't put it past them. Idiots. I thought that huge body length snake was a reticulated python... Anyone?

Yes I believe longest snake ever recorded is a retic but weight wise anacondas are the big boys.
