First off: no she has never been on sand.
she's been to the vet: we are giving antibiotics and feeding a fatty paste from the vet to help her get her appetite back.

The doc has no clue what the hard spot is in her belly could be an rotten egg but not sure. Def not sand. the only thing I can think of is a peice of bark from the wood in her tank. it is a pretty large hard spot tho, like the size and feel of an egg. If it is an egg how could it have gotten rock hard?

If anyone has been thru this and has some insight please tell me about it. also give some info to help me help her if possible.

thanks, troy

no he didnt. but i cant afford it either way. i already dropped $150 at the last visit. if she dose have a hardened egg what can be done for her? there is no way she will be able to pass something that big out of an opening the size of a small pea. this really sucks!! it's my 8 yr old daughters lizard. she will be heart broken. she is gaining weight back tho. my wife just put 2grams back on her in the last week. so that is a good sign!! i hope anyways. if anyone has a any info to help please do.

thanx, troy

heres an update on sunny. my wife has been feeding her this fatty mix from the vet and she gained a couple grams up to 32g. i desided to start leaving some wax worms in there but she didnt eat them for a while. they eventually turned in to pupea then one day i noticed 3 outta the 4 were gone so i put 3 more waxworms in. the next day there was only 1. now every time i put in a worm the next day they are gone and now she is up to 34g. she gained 2g in 1 day. she still has that calcified egg in her belly but we'll worry about that after she is all healthy and fat again. also her tail is getting plump now too.

thanx for the replies, troy

One of my females has a similar situation. I thought it was a calcified egg, too. She's had it for three months now. In that time, she's developed and passed another clutch (successfully) but the hard mass has stayed put in her abdomen. She's still eating and pooping and is as active as ever. I don't know what's wrong, but she doesn't seem to be stressed by it. I think, now, it's probable that it isn't a calcified egg like we'd originally thought, but some sort of cyst or tumor. As long as she's acting otherwise healthy, though, we aren't worrying
