Finally got my first tortoise!

She's a Hermans Tortoise and I will try to get some pics up later today. It's storming right now so my house is super dark. I still need to pick a name for her, too. The breeder said she's most likely female, but he couldn't tell 100% yet. She's a bit dirty because she buried herself when we got home last night.

So cute!! I like Hermann's. I wish I had room and time for more tortoises. They're my favorite of all my reptiles. I just wish they were as friendly as the stories I hear and read online of others, but I love them anyway.

I'd check out TNT and the carolinapetsupply website for grasses and weeds and stuff to grow for food and an outdoor enclosure if you decide to set up an outdoor pen for her. TNT is great supplement to add to her greens and weeds.

The breeder had Russians, Hermanns, Leopards, and Pancakes. They were all adorable. I had planned on getting a Russian Tortoise, but I knew that Hermanns were similar in size and care. I needed a small tortoise and just fell in love with this one.

Her name is going to be Sin.
