I hatched out my first beetle!!! wooooooo!!!!!!

But I'm confused...people said Giant's couldn't turn into pupae or beetles...but this one is from a giant meal worm...does this mean the beetle won't be able to produce more meal worms?

I'm confused.

Someone, enlighten me!

i could be wrong as i have never delt with giants... but i beleive they are unlikely to pupate, and if they do, the beetles will not reproduce...

again i could be wrong... but i think thats it...

I really want to know so I can figure out whether to just feed the giant meal worm larva to my Salamander...hmm, I guess I'll have to figure it out haha.

lol i know how great it is to see a new beetle pop up. However yes sadly...they will not be able to make more mealworms.

Actually the beetle will reproduce but will yeild regular sized meal worms, not giant ones... The hormone used only delays the pupation and has no effect on reproduction...

That makes sense Gregg, all the stuff online says it prevents or slows the growth into pupae stage, so the meal worms just keep growing, so probably all of my giant's wont become pupae, obviously the ones that just lie on their backs like they are dead, just can't grow anymore and won't change.
