Just out of PURE CURIOSITY (and I really mean this with no sarcasam it's a real question), why is it socially acceptable to breed an eublepharis macularius to a eublepharis macularius afghanicus in hopes to create some "good unique group of eclipses started" but one gets crap for breeding a NORMAL POSSIBLE (very little chance) HET Bell to a NORMAL het Tremper?

Isn't breeding one species to a sub-species, "muddying up the water"as well???

I'm not exactly sure how to answer this ...let me first start off saying that i breed animals that i think are beautiful and that's the main factor i go off of when choosing my animals. I dont get too involved in debates about whats "muddying up the waters" I try only to create the best looking healthy animals that i can.I'm crossing these sub-species with the hopes of creating animals different from everybody else. My opinion is that the water is already totally muddy! You can breed what ever you like its your choice...its when your trying to sell animals that you cant keep track of the genetics that's the problem with crossing two different albino strains.sorry if i wasn't much help this only my opinion. anybody who can help answer this question better feel free to high-jack this thread:D

They should make some awesome babies!

Using subspecies will help keep the bloodlines cleaner. Basically you're outcrossing to something non-related. Subspecies are not morphs. Bells and Trempers are morphs that are not compatible. Subspecies are.

I understand that they're not MORPHS... but it's a SUB species.. but would it not be like breeding a crested and a leachie together? (ok, a little extreme, but you get the point)

Wow you do have a way with hijacking a thread don't you? The appropriate thing would be to either Pm him or start a whole other thread. Oh wait you already did that. Now back on topic.....
