So I didn't know exactly where to put this... but here goes.

I have a male RAPTOR that has a lot of pattern on his head, and I haven't really seen other RAPTORS that have heads like his. So my question is, do you think that his head pattern falls within the normally accepted RAPTOR kinda look? Or would you consider him not the best example of the morph? Simply, what's up with his head? I like him that way, but have been curious about this for a while now.

he's great! my juvi raptor male looks like a mini version of your boy. he has bright orange spots on his head and tail and patternless on the body. you can check him out in my album. I love the look too.

I had a female like that. I've seen a handful like that; I've seen a ton from one particular breeder (breeder I purchased my female from). The female I had didn't start with the spots, but gained them as she aged. It's not a flaw.

Thanks guys. The head spotting wasn't so obvious when I got him in October, but when it really started sticking out I began to wonder about it. I'm pairing him with my BEE, and I hope the spotting goes on with the babies. I never have been too impressed with most NOVAS, so maybe mine will be different... if I get any, ya know.

Joker, here's a pic of him when he was two months old:

his color is also coming in stronger. i can't ever seem to get decent pics of my leo's, heh. he also has those high white sides that you can still see from above that i see sometimes with tremper's raptors.

this is him at about 30grams. he's 36grams now. i see no flaws in him. :)

I like him! I would not consider this a "flaw", i think it is unique because ALOT of raptors have pattern on their heads, and this one's is nice and bold. And love the patternless body aswell! Alot of the genetics behind the patterning on the head comes from the Tremper Albino gene in a Raptor, so having a "carrot head" on a Raptor or alot of patterning on the head is not uncommon by an any means.

Nice looking guy you got there! I hope your pairing yields you awesome lookin babies!
