Found in my Kitchen Is this a Gecko ?

I've literally found this tiny beauty crawling across my kitchen floor . I've put him in a plastic tupperware tray with some grass and leaves and some water with cardboard cover with aeration . Can anyone identify him. He must be 2.5cm in length . Im in Wales UK

It looks to me like one of the house gecko species of genus Hemidactylus. Put the picture into your Google and you may get confirmation about what species. They are probably not native to Wales, but they often arrive from other places in produce or floral items. There is often enough heat and bugs in homes for them to do very well.
