Funny Things Your Leos Do?

Reading Forum, first choice

Okay I got two normals that were good size and in good shape from petsmart not to long ago, adn they are now keeping my albino company. But one of them does something I havent seen much since my first albino two or three years ago. Went I put crickets in it stuck its tell straight up that started slowly moving it around kinda, like a hypnotized cobra. I like watching it.

Yeah, thats aways fun to see the tail do a snake dance.

One of mine will sit on my laptop keyboard and read the gecko forum with me. Alright, maybe she's just enjoying getting some belly heat...

And they surely would want to read the forum, with all this funny shit on here?.......even belly heat on the keyboard is funny, especially if it dumps on it. Now thats funny.......except for the clean up crew. Take care. HJ

Sparkels does that too, Man we got some funy geckos. I thought of somthing else about Sparkles. When we hold her and she is walking hand over hand and we dont give her the next hand she will look down and just slide over the edge our hand onto our chest. It is really funny, none of my other leos do it.

Funnies, Funnies, Funnies

You know there are a lot more gecko funnies out there, but they are posts on other threads. Like one I read the person was playing around with their gecko and got it too close to their face. Their eye blinked and the gecko thought it was the movement of prey. It grabbed at the eyelid. No bad results, so I consider this a "funny".....What do you think?
Here's another of mine. Snowday a 90 gram Male line snow, and the same one that rides under my hat, has a forceful way of eating worms. He hits them and then shakes his head so hard that he flips the worm half way across the tank. He will do it that way until he realizes he is not getting filled up. Also at night I would put my finger in his tank by his nose and he would open his mouth wide and just bump by finger, Never has bitten me...........Of course I think these are funny. But I'm easy. What about you? Think they are funny? Take care. HJ

My two leos will stand up at the front of the vivarium and watch the world go by - see pic below!

They'll also stand there and scratch at the glass until I open up the viv and let them come out. They'll also gang up on me and one will try and climb out whilst I'm occupied with the other - hence the "Juggling geckos"

Mine also tend to use each other as springboards to get up above the front lip of the viv.

They'll also pounce on a cricket, take off one of its legs and then wonder where the cricket's gone - the cric is usually sitting beneath the gecko cowering in fear!

The funniest thing I saw was when one of them was trying to climb up the inside of the vivarium wall. I opened the vivarium up, she climbed out on my hand and poked her head around the other side of the viv and looked up and down the wall, then walked back inside, satisfied that she's discovered what was on the other side! I laughed so hard at that one

I'm not sure about the geckos; but more often than not, my bearded dragons will make farting sounds when they poo!!

Above is one I pulled from that thread. Its funny to me but it makes me think Geckos may only do sliders since no one admits to hearing one........A slider is (non-noise) like my Gramp pa would do while I would be sitting on his knee about 70 years ago. I'd say, Grampa what's that smell? He'd laugh and about fall off his rocker...Its funny now, but not when I was a youngster...Everyone desearves a "warning that gas is on its way. Don't you think so. Actually this was scary rather than funny, the first time I became aware of it. I have one fairly new het raptor that sleeps so hard, that if you pick her up while she's "conked out" she appears to be dead. It's still a little scary but I'm more expecting it now. I didn't think it was funny. Did you?

I suppose this is more interesting than funny, but where our viv is there is a glass tank opposite containing one of my gerbils. One of the geckos spotted her digging one day and just seemed to stare in amazement.

I guess she's never seen a gerbil before

More Funnies

I was just feeding the hatchling babies. I have a mixture of carpet and tile on their housing floors. This one baby was hitting the worms so hard that she would catch her teeth on the carpet. She would then tug til she freed them.....then off for another worm. After a few I noticed she started learning to not go so deep and started getting only worm. Was funny. You think it was? I've been vacuuming my tanks this morning. Each gets to ride while their tank is cleaned and freshened up. I had two more decide they wanted to ride on my head..My male Snowday (the one that rides to the post office ) may be spreading the news about a wax worm package due in....
it's funny + their sharp nails really dig in to my scalp.
But that makes me laugh too.Take care......HJ
