She had been gone for three days. I thought temperature, humidity, water, food....and concentrated my search efforts toward these areas. After tearing up the thought over hiding places piece by piece, flashlight in one hand and all the time trying to be alert in case I saw her and she tried to run from me. I finally sat down looking at the mess I made without any results. Now 2:30 PM and a bit down and discouraged, I decided a shower would help cool down the mind.......I have one cat that always tries to get in the shower when he sees I have the water running. Not in the funny cat mood for him at the time....I shouted to get the H out of the way. I got half way through my shower and kinda shook out the wrinkle in the shower curtain. Out flops one missing gecko. She had gotten into the fold of the curtain for moisture and when she came out she seemed ready to be scooped up by me rather than that giant cat, that she had probably viewed a couple times during her escape. She was wet but appeared active but not stressed out. I put her back in her tank. (that was repaired for no more escaping) .......I offered herWell, I had a 20 day old Mack Snow baby escape.

Hey, sounds good. We'll be looking forward to some funny stories....take care / HJthekooliest said:HJ...I'm waiting till August to get him/her cause I am only gonna be here for a couple weeks in the next two months...I think it would be nicer for him/her ;(...
I'll keep you posted...my tank is almost set up.
Probably gonna get it from a local guy...lives about 20 minutes away and has cheap ($30 average) geckos...they are in the incubator right now...so it should be perfect timing when I come back!![]()
Now that's one I'd like to see on a DVD. take care. HJAntMan612 said:Tango loves to eat superworms!
...but he really needs to work on his etiquette. He will chomp down on one fed from the tongs, then chew it up really fast squirting guts all over the tank. At least he chews his food, I guess.

I took my gecko Spike out for his daily handling and he decided he wanted down on my bed. My cat, Cloe was asleep on my blanket so I let Spike down. The first thing he did was to run over to Cloe and to stick his nose onto her nose. This of course woke the cat up. Now Cloe is afraid of her own shadow... so she jumped back with a look on her face like 'What the heck is that?!' I snatched up Spike and put him back into his tank. Cloe, on the other hand, kept jumping around like there were little 'ghost geckos' after her. She finally bolted out the door like her life depended upon it.
I found it funny that my little tiny gecko scared off my adult cat:main_laugh:

bubblez825 said:Well, my 2 adult leos were being hand fed waxies by me. I had a waxie dangling from my fingers in front of Tigris, and Euphrades was standing next to her. Tigris saw the waxie, grabbed it, and started eating it. Euphrades saw about this much l--l tail sticking out of Tigris's mouth and grabbed it. They played 2 second tug-a-war with the worm. Euphrades ended up yanking it out of Tigris's mouth, and swallowed it. After that, I tried to feed Tigris another one, and she was about to lunge at it. Euphrades also saw the worm, and when Tigris lunged, Euphrades pushed in front of her and gobbled the waxie down before Tigris could grab it. After that I had to put Euphrades across to the OTHER side of the tank so I could give Tigris 2 waxies to make up for the ones Euphrades stole. I just wanted to share my funny high-light of the day.
