I got mine in last week, set one up and put in the incubator. They look way cool! I use superhatch instead of perlite, just my personal preference. Eggs are due any day now. Instead of writing on the lids, I use small post-it tabs to id my eggs.

Like kids with a new toy :D They do look really neat. First thing I thought of when I saw them was some type of fruit juice strainer that goes into a juicer. I hope they work well for y'all.

I was going to get a SIM but this is less expensive and while not the same thing it does something similar and allows me to keep track of the eggs better.

I like the fact the eggs are completely securely separated from each other. We're gone for a show an average of a weekend every month so if anything hatches it has to stay in the deli cup all weekend. Multiple clutches hatching in a SIM could be misidentified, simply because there is no real separation. I had to use one deli cup per clutch before for this reason. I will however open each container prior to leaving for the weekend to get air exchange or switch the deli cup for a pre-punched. The SIM is a great incubation product, but for my gex I need something with more individual control. We may get some for snake eggs tho.

i have a SIM and i saw the new G.E.O,

G.E.O

*Holds the eggs

*Keeps the Cluches organized. (however Babies don't have the level of space i am Comfortable with when hatched)

*Used with Deli cups.

*it seems to be "Cheap" its a Product of small plastic, and it Doesn't Compare to the S.I.M's Manufacturing Quality so i Expected it to be Much cheaper. *Its really not, but i wish it was*

* One G.E.O only holds 8 eggs, *that's only 4 cluches* Anyone Having more then 1 female would have to order more, if your a Larger set breeder you would have to order ALOT of G.E.O.

* i would be More willing to try them if they were not So expensive, $15 for something that can only hold 8 eggs*

S.I.M

*Huge bin!

*keeps a lot more eggs then the G.E.O (ONE S.I.M Can hold around 40 leopard gecko Eggs!//////ONE G.E.O can only hold 8)

*Its a bit more money, but you get alot more for your money <<that about Sums it up.

both are great ideas. but a G.E.O for $15 is just to high, for that Product.:main_thumbsup:

Ok lets make this simple if you like them I will give you one and if not then don't reply in a negtive post.
I don't think its a (imitation SIM)

Egg suspension has been around for years. There has been hundreds of people that have used this method.

It is not your idea nor is it mine. We simply made a product to support this method.

WE BOTH TOOK SOMEONE ELSE'S IDEA AND MADE A PRODUCT FROM IT. This is why neither of us can call (EGG SUSPENSION) our own idea. I don't want this to become a competition. I know there are some people that are going to have good things to say and bad things to say about the GEO as the same with the SIM. I think they are both good for the hobby. That is why from now till SUPER BOWL SUNDAY we are offering a !!!!!FREE ONE !!!! to G.F. members just pay for the shipping. This is for those of you who have only seen it on the web and not yet tried one and would like to before you give your option on just a pic. or a first impression. So the first one is on us. The only thing I ask in return is that we try to keep this a positive thing not a negative thing.

Here are my 2 cents. As if anyone cares. lol

I am a small breeder so I do not have alot of eggs.

I think that the SIM is a great for breeders that have a lot of eggs as you can hold many eggs in one SIM.

I think that the GEO is great for breeders like myself that does not have a lot of eggs

I think that you guys both have a great Idea and I think that its just what the person prefers.

Again this is just my opinion.

I see both products as being very useful to the reptile breeders no matter what your projects are. There are always going to be pro's and con's of each product and it is for the customer to decide what they like best for their circumstance. I wish both companies good futures.

I do know one thing, I will be ordering my free GEO soon.

i dont think i Gave a Negative rating for either Product i said they were Both good ideas, each One has there own Benefits and i even said i would Try one, i was going to buy a few before i saw the price.

Would you ever just sell the G.E.O and not add in the cups or hatching medium?

For those who have not noticed, I cleaned the thread up a bit... LOL

I would like to apologize to YourGeckoGuy for some of my comments on his product... I know how it feels to have your product bashed and I am sorry if any of my comments offened you... No one should be put down for their work... It makes no sence to bicker when we both have the same goal... To produce healthy reptiles and to help our customers do the same...

Great design and good luck with your product...:main_thumbsup:

Super classy by Gregg M. You both did a great job from what I can tell without using either one. I think that each one has it's application.

The part that I like about the GEO vs the SIM is the separation of the egg clutches. I won't be able to fill a SIM in one year let alone with eggs from the same breeding pair.

I understand that you can tell certain morphs apart at birth but what about when you are line breeding the same trait like Sunglows? I won't be sure who came from who.

Again, no knock against either. One just fits my current needs more closely. As I ramp up production in later years I can see where a SIM might be more practical.

SIM was not build entirely for gecko eggs. Its size is built to handle Bearded, Ackie, Colubrid clutches, and gecko eggs as well. The larger SIM XL would be better for python egg clutches or tortoise eggs but also applies to gecko eggs. GEO is better applied to the small scale gecko breeder, kudos to the gecko guy ( what the hecks your real name anyway?).
