I'm not going to lie, I like the look of the "Galaxies" very much and I find them very attractive and unique, but it's not a new morph, it's not a new mutation, and it's certainly not something I'd want to spend a whopping $1,000 on.

I saw the galaxies in Daytona. Asked about the genetics. Also asked about the "sun" which was not present on what Ron had on his table. Yes they had a larger area of white face and tail tip, white legs. Nothing that looked any better than an SSE, and I've seen better SSE's than the galaxy. He said the spots brown in adulthood. I about lost my cookies at that point, but maintained well enough to say thank you, that was quite interesting, hope you have a good show.... had to walk away. My official opinion is I think it's all a load of slick marketing.

Let me get the firestorm of posts rolling. The guy is a sham! He has thrown out several "new" morphs lately that are spins on the old. Some have been proven wrong through breeding "see Tony Casler"and some flat out were shot out of the "Galaxy" before some of the sheep started bowing down to the man and lining up for the bread and wine. I had a lot of respect for the man but now seem to think he is just trying to keep up with the changing times and stay relevant. He has introduced some exciting projects over the years don't get me wrong but to me he is nothing more than BOI that people who purchased these animals that were sold as a new morph or one to unlock a bunch of other stuff are scared to post. I have seen less appear there wether right or wrong. Next week he may bust out the traveling flea circus so line up and take a peak. If he is still selling the Galaxy as he posted recently then he opens the door to be criticized just like no other person on here.

I have to agree with you. I love what he's done with leopard geckos and definitely thank him for the morphs he created. But I think he can't create anything new and it bugs him. He still wants to be that guy. I just feel like people get scammed when they buy his new morphs now. There is no way I would buy one unless it had been proven to be new.

This is mostly how I feel, and on top of it, it makes me sad.
He's probably the most successful breeder and helped originate interest in leos as pets.

But at a certain point, you're at the zenith...you don't have to prove anything else or climb any higher or out-do those who have come after you. You can't possibly find every genetic fluke out there before everyone else. Just trying to makes you look sad and run by ego. All of us invest some ego in our geckos, they're our pride and joy! But at a certain point, it becomes less about geckos and more about ego. I hope I never cross that point.

Lately? He does this once or twice a year. And oddly enough, ALWAYS leading up to a big event such as Daytona or some other large expo. It's always been this way, and it will probably always be this way. After a while, you get used to it. :main_no:
