GECKO SPEECH 101 VIDEO..........
Please this is not an everyday stress test here at the GATHERING.
It was only done on a one time with 3 reptile Vets standing by for
the entire 3 minute filming. Professional gecko handlers,
a professional trained star gecko plus two standby
geckos were used. 2.7 million dollars worth of stand by emergency
equipment and heart monitors were on the cast 24/7 to make this
GECKOGATHERING PRODUCTION for you enjoyment. If you do not enjoy it just think of how much time and dollars were wasted (because of you)
Sit back, turn up your volume and get the "Scare of your Life"
Take care. Hj

Nice hiding spot there in the beginning but wow, I've never heard a baby scream that much. When my two were babies the most they ever did was "chirp" at me when they didn't want me around lol

Wow, what a threat display, I loved it! My newest little one did just that when she came home & got stuck in the hide I gave her, I just about died laughing! Thanks for sharing!

I love the screamers! I've found that the snows I've hatched have screamed way more than any other hatchling. I don't know why. Eventually, they calmed down and had some of the best personalities.

I know that sometimes I have one of mine get vocal because it doesn't want to be bother. You have to do it sometimes when you clean the tank or other things but thats just plan @#$ torturing the gecko to me. Sorry to be blunt but thats a good way to stress the gecko out for your enjoyment. Just my opinion!

hehe. I'm not a professional translator, but I'm pretty sure that gecko was saying, "Do Not Want!!!!!"

Hi Adelle from Pasadena........
I certainly agree with you and I believe I heard a few
curse words in it too.
Thanks.
You take care. HJ

Hiding spot was under the calcium bowl.....
This is the first time my hand was in her tank.
She is just a week old.
Thanks Chelsea. Take care. HJ

Hi Maia. ***Wow, what a threat display,
Hey you called it right.
But she got a drink of water when she hit my wet knuckle.
She will relate to that and won't fear me next time.
I prolonged it a little more than I would have if I wasn't
filming it. It is stress for them....but they would do it in the wild
and survive it....
Thanks and you take care. HJ

Yeah that was just plain cruel. I dont see how that helped the gecko at all, if anything I would think itd make it worse for the gecko. Just give the little guy time and it will figure out that your hands in the cage are not a threat, instead of forcing the issue when it is obviously upset.

Hi Justin.
I certainly respect your opinion.
That's what this forum is about....
Different opinions on things.
And although I agree partly with you......about some stress
and the fact I prolonged it a bit because of filming it.
You and I do not agree on establishing being
friends with your gecko.
I want to enjoy it more than cleaning its home
and dumping worms in for it to eat and me to watch.
And that comes from when it will enjoy your hand in its living space and like being lifted out. Ride on your body and even take a trip outside (weather permitting)
I train my geckos, and one of the steps is to wet my knuckle and
let them find out I'm not a threat but I allow them to learn I
represent a drink and I never let them feel in control.....but
knowing they need not fear next time.
Believe me it works. I have only week old babies that scream as she did. Her sister is 15 days old and wants to ride my shoulders
already.......Some ride on my head, under my ball cap to the post office for worm shipments.......
And as far as stress on a gecko......if she was in the wild that would be her protective way and nature didn't design her to expire
from it......................
Thanks for the comments.
You take care. Hj

Hey Michelle. I knew I'd get a few of these comments, which I partly agree on. So I'm repeating the response to : Justin

My youngest leo screams like that too! I was shocked when I first got her because I've heard the hiss... but the screeching was crazy!

Great video
