Beg all you want... LOL It cant change what I have learned or experienced from over 20 years of keeping reptiles... Not to mention the other people on this and other sites who have kept reptiles in similar conditions without a single issue...

I'm not going to dignify your adolescent attack with another. But just for the record, I too have 20+ years experience keeping reptiles and arachnids.

just because you may have been keeping herps 20 years, doesent mean you know it all. The truth is leos can hurt themselfs, just because they may do it in the wild, doesent mean that you should just let them do it in captivity and risk them hurting themselfs:main_no:. If people can afford to pay the vet bills and dont care, then thats their choice. But its not fair to attack other people if they dont agree with you:main_thumbsdown:

Leos can and will climb when poss, why not give them the extra room to do it when we can. Personally the light scares me, but I've never had lighting setup inside a viv, so I guess it could work?

We all have our own opinions on how a viv should be setup, but lets keep the insults out.

Ya know what Jason, you are 100% right... Maybe we should tube feed them too because they might choke on a cricket... Lets not forget to pad the entire cage with foam because they might run from you without watching where they are going...

I also never claimed to know everything... I was speaking from my 20 plus years of keeping reptiles... Give me one example of a leo falling IN its cage that got injured or killed as a result... Also give me one example of a leo attatching itself to a heat lamp and cooking...

Did you happen to see the "LOL" part in the post??? I was half kidding... If I was attacking you, believe me, you would know it... It would not be hidden in a 3 sentence post... If you consider that an attack, I want to know how you would react to some one really getting on your case...

I cant say anything about the leo attaching itself to the light and burning itself, never heard of that before. Lights shouldnt really be used for leos anyway, they are nocturnal, bright lights can stress them, plus belly heat is more important for digestion etc..

Can we please stop with the animosity and bring this post back on track?

Please comment on the picture, the gecko, or the set-up without the bickering.

Right on Russ... Got alittle carried away... I just hate to open a thread and see every post telling the person they are doing something wrong with nothing to back it but their own personal fears...

Sorry I was part of taking this thread off track and for offending anyone...

Ok so anyway, I think it's crazy that your leo went up there for a cricket. I've always heard they are opportunistic and would rather wait for their food to come to them. I figured this was why somme people have trouble dish feeding their leos. My leo likes climbing her fake tree, but never to go after a cricket. Nice pic.
