In simple terms it's dominant because it is :)

Some people think that is's a line bred trait, but the only polygenic traits in a SHTCTB are Super, carrot tail,Tangerine and Baldy. Hypo itself is not a polygenic trait it's a uniformed pattern of spots retained with in the darker bands that has been thrown out of leo's with hypo parentage over and over

Some people think it's co-domiant becuase peolpe use the word "Super" Hypo, but just to clarify "Super" in Hypo is polygenic. If there were a super form yuo would get 100% Hypo if bred to a Normal, this is simple not the case.

The genetic outcome of breeding a Hypo to Wild Type will be.

Hypos or Normals, providing if the Hypo is carrying only 1 Copy.

If the Hypo is carrying 2 Copies of the gene you will get 100% Hypos.

A Hypo is a leo with spot retained with the darker bands/Body saddles. It's not about how meny spots. It's as simple as if it has spots with in the darker bands/Body saddles that 1-spot to a 100-spots that a Hypo.If it has NO! body spots it's a Super hypo.Super in hypo is a Polygenic tradit(line bred) so a Super hypo is both Dominant and Polygenic.

Note the hypo in the link.Note where the spots are.And that it has way more then 10 spot. And it's deffo 100% a hypo.Sorry but that whole 10 spots hypo and 9 spots Hi-yellow has always never made sence to me.Coz a Hi-yellow for a start is nothing to do with spots.Hi-yellow is back ground color tone.

Hypo with at least 40 spots.

Im planning to buy a male enigma het raptor. How can it produce a raptor paring the enigma het raptor with a female gecko without a raptor gene. Is it possible?

would take a couple-several generations of crossing back to the dad which I dont like doing(inbreeding eww) but many people do it AND a lot of luck. Honestly RAPTORs are so cheap you should just get a RAPTOR, it would be much MUCH easier.

Raptor morphs in our place is very difficult to find, especially the female ones. :( Many are selling het raptor though but most are males.

I have two questions. Is there any color differents from a 1 copy hypo and a 2 copy hypo?

Plus if I crossed this high yellow to this SHTB what would the offspring more then likely look like?

Yes, there is Hypo and Super Hypo. Hypo means there are less than 10 spots on the back and Super Hypo means there are none (as you can see in Joey's picture).

Breeding those two should give you Hypo Tangs.

25% Hypo Mack Snow het. Tremper albino
25% Hypo Mack Snow Tremper albino
25% Hypo Tang het. Tremper albino
25% Hypo Tang Tremper albino

at least, I think that's right lol.. All babies would also be 100% het. Patternless. What's cool about that is geckos that are het. Patternless tend to be speckled.

This thread is really interesting.

As someone who's considering going back to school and actually taking some biology and zoology classes just to understand this kind of thing, it's really fun to read.
