why you say that? Is the only way to get little to no yellow is line breeding ? I was thinking about producing some mack snows variations with very little yellow or none using parents that were not directly linked with little to none yellowing.

We are trying to do the same. For the most part, whiter snows will produce whiter offspring, but there are always varying degrees of yellow.

It's weird because we have a baby that hatched out normal (yellow and black) from a line bred snow X mack snow, and she is now just as white as a snow can be. We have another baby that hatched out black and white and is more yellow than this normal. She is the only normal from that pairing that ended up like this.

a little bit older:

and then I go on vacation, come back, and (s)he's white:

Looks like a snow, but isn't! I just hope that whoever buys him/her reads the details of her info, and realizes that (s)he isn't a snow, instead of just assuming that (s)he is.

I certainly found out about the yellowing this season. This was my first season with Mack snows and I crossed a super snow with one I got from Albey --Mack snow x linebred/Mack/fasciolatus. The non super is a very light lemon yellow (much lighter than the yellow macks I usually see). I also crossed the SS with a SHTCT hoping eventuallyfor creamsicles. The offspring of the hypo cross are all orange and indistinguishable from a SHTCT. The offpring of the other has so far yielded 3 super snows, 1 somewhat white snow and a lot of hypo yellow snows, without even that bright snow yellow. They're kind of muddy, actually. I've been a bit disappointed, but the SS's have been gorgeous (see Brooke in Donna's post) and I'll just cycle the rest of my females with the SS over the next few years to see who gives me the best result. I have 7-8 more SS/fasciolatus cross eggs in the incubator as well.

Thanks :)

But does anyone have any thoughts on what is going on with that baby? Why it turned white? Has this happened to anyone before? Any explanations?

Thanks in advance..

Our offspring from our Mack Snow X Line Bred Snow (Aleby's line) also produced geckos with a very light lemon yellow. All of the snows are still pretty white, just some yellow on their sides. But so you have taken a Super Snow X Line Bred Snow and got 3 more Supers? I didn't think anyone was doing this, so it's nice to find someone that has!!!! Can you post some pics? I saw the SS in Donna's post, it looks gorgeous :main_yes: The SS in my avatar is from our MS X LBS pairing. And so am I to understand that all of the Line Bred Snows from Albey's line are fasciolatus? Sorry if this is a stupid question.. I didn't think Mack was in his Line?
