Got Lucky with a new hatchling. Suprise morph.

Father: Normal. Nothing special at all. 7 year old normal male.

Mother: Mack Snow.

We were expecting a normal or a snow... Ended up with what looks like a Snow Blizzard? Solid black eyes, grey color (a bit pink in the picture), light stripe down the back...

...? Am I right? Forgive the cellphone pic.

I know most snow blizzards have normal eyes and this one has solid black like a super snow blizzard... But with the father being normal and the mother being a normal snow... I don't think that's possible.

all i can say is COngratz!!!
to me it looks like a Super snow blizzard and it is pretty common to see snake eyes and eclipse eyes on blizzards, so who knows, maybe your normal was het. for blizzard.

the baby looks like a super snow. I think it is more likely that the dad is actually a mack snow rather than both parents being unknowingly het. for bliz. Just my opinion. Congrats on the baby either way. You'll know for sure after a couple of sheds.:main_thumbsup:

I would agree it looks like a blizzard, but it is most likely a super snow. These are all speculations until it shed the first time. If it looses that clean grey color for spots it is a super snow and you male is really a snow not a normal. If it stays grey you have either a bliz, bliz snow, or rare ssbliz because of the genetics of the parents. Only testing a bliz snow will tell you what it is, but i have hatched a few in my day and can prob tell you when it is bigger..lol

I dont think it can be a supersnow because the male is 7 years old... that would put his hatch date at 02. As far as I know the first mack snows hatched out in 03

Doesn't it kinda look like the father has the heavier speckles which you usually find with normals who have a het for blizzard?

The other egg in that clutch should be hatching soon.
