Has anyone heard of Jeff Bogdanoff @ Sgvreptiles?

I sent him a lot of money a few weeks ago and have been PRYING to get anything out of him. He didn't acknowledge receipt of the PMO I sent him, and didn't ship on the original intended date. I asked him WTF and he said he'd be shipping them out this past Monday. They never showed. I sent him another PM asking him what was going on, and he's been online (at Geckos Unlimited) since then but hasn't replied.

I think I may have just been had. :main_angry:

...but he's a tool if he thinks I won't pursue it to the furthest extent possible.

If I don't have the geckos I paid for come Tuesday, I'll be on my way to the BOI.

Fuck.

I've seen his adds, but don't know anything about him - except that I wouldn't buy from him now! I hope he ships your animals out soon and has a really good reason for not already having done so.

Well he's been reading the PMs I send him on GeckosUnlimited but he's not responding at all. I just sent him an ultimatum stating that if I didn't receive the geckos tomorrow that I will be posting on the BOI and leaving negative feedback for him on both GU and Fauna (those are the only forums where I've found his name... I don't think he has registered here). I kind of wish that I had paid via Paypal. I do have a photocopy of the Postal MO that I sent him, not that it does me much good though.

Does anyone know how I would go about filing a claim through the Post Office (can I even do that?) I'm assuming that since it was a PMO that it qualifies as mail fraud / federal offense. Is that right?

I hate getting so pissed off about this even though it was only $600. It could have been worse, I suppose.

I don't think it's wrong that you're pissed off. That was $600 that you earned and as of right now, he stole. It's not right. I hope he either sends you the animals or you find some way to get your money back.

I have been tempted to call him, but I'm not sure I ever got his phone number. I'm sure I could find it if I wanted to get all sleuthy, but at this point I want everything documented in writing.

Hopefully I'll find time tomorrow to look into what the PO may be able to do to help, but I'm really behind on my work right now since I didn't do shit all weekend (well, not in the gecko rooms anyway).

Sorry I havnt replyd to you. I had a family tragity and my grandmother passed away last monday. But I will be shipping you the geckos tommarow.
One of the baby monilis died(it was a runt) I will send you 25$ reembursment on it via paypal next week.

I don't think there's any excuse for having to wait for a lousy $25 considering he cashed a $600 money order.

Besides, this is the first time he said anything about any of the geckos being a "runt".

...but honestly, I'm not too optimistic about the geckos arriving tomorrow. This is his last chance. His family "tragity" may have bought him another 24 hours, but that's it.

I dunno Paul. I have heard a LOT of "my grandmother/grandfather died" stories in my lifetime... heck I even had someone have the same grandfather die twice! I have also heard "gee, the gecko died" stories too. I'm not saying this case isn't legit, but he spent $600 of you money and doesn't have $25??? WTF? I say, if you don't get the geckos tomorrow, go to the BOI.
