Has your gecko ever made noise?

This is actually pretty funny: I had a guy from a local production company here this evening for the second time to film some footage for an Animal Planet show and one of his assignments was to get a "gecko chirping". We tried a number of the geckos --complete silence. Then I remembered Oskar who has had some respiratory issues and chirps extensively whenever he's stressed. He provided some great footage and is also very photogenic (super snow). The show, part of the "Pets 101" series, should air this fall.

My gecko does the grunt-of-effort when he has to climb over a sharply angled surface. He's also done an angry squeak when my boyfriend accidentally scared him.
(edited to add the following) Please give us an update, if they ever give you an exact date, when the geckos will be featured on "Pets 101". That's so cool, hopefully they portray reptiles in a good light.

Wretch on the other hand...when he was a baby, he would scream at my hand whenever it entered the tank, he's a few months old now and still makes chirping noises at me...very angry ones, lol

Sparky only makes noises if I am trying to hold her against her will... She hates that. When I had to hand feed her when she was not eating, trying to hold her.

All of my leopard geckos have either clicked or done that gecko roar/sequeal to me.

My male crested geckos do this chirping when they are trying to call to the female to mate.

Some are a bit more chatty than others.. it amuses me and I always get a giggle when the babies hiss

I never thought that my baby made noise, but one day, outta the blue, she decides that she likes to speak. She only does it every once and a while, and I always check on her, thinking somehting's wrong. But no, she's a random sqeaker

Mine "barked" at me one time. I think I caught him by surprise & instead of running away he "barked". But that was the only time.

I had one that was kinda skiddish when we bought it from the previous owner. His kid lost interest and it had gone a year or so with out being handled. It would chirp once in a while while being picked up.

Baby Leos make a great deal of noise if they are in the right mood. My WC flying geckos can be rather vocal too now and then, or when you pick them up and they want to tell you all the ways they will eat your face. The Mourning geckos are always talking in their chirp, whistle and click language. The only geckos I have that have never made any noises are the Cresteds, they are so quiet.

i have a female jungle baby that sounds like a hawk screeching at me when i try to get her out for tank cleanings. scared the crap out of me when i first heard it. she's a tiny little thing but sounds like she's gonna rip my arm off, lol

Well the first time I picked up my little baby leo, she was terrified and squeaked at me repeatedly, and my male at night loves to let out one or two squeaks, it is very cute.
