I one hatchling that had an upper lid deformity but they dont look that bad. After it shed a few days ago its lower lids kinda swelled up. Now they kinda look like they are sticky and she can't open or close them well. Kinda gummy looking. I have a nother that hatched last friday and its eyes have started to do the same since it shed. It's eyes are normal other wise. What can I do for them? Please help I love them!!!

This sounds very familiar to a friend who had three leos and one started getting goupy stuff around the eyes, she'd take it to the vet but after like a 6 month struggle and high vet bills all three ended up with it and died. but I don't know what they had or exactly how the vet helped her with them

Hopefully this is not the case
I wish you the best of luck

Maybe there is a little stuck shed to the eyelid? Try gently wiping the area with a moist q-tip to see if it helps. Good luck!

For now, you can moisten the eye with a q tip. Use warm water or saline solution, which I have been told is contact lens solution as long as there's no other detergent stuff in there. You can also use a finger to put a drop on the eye. I have a 6 week old hatchling with deformed eyelids whose eyes looked so bad at first I thought she didn't have any, but with regular moistening she sees well and her eyes look good. I went from treating several times a day to treating 1 eye about every day or two.
