I have givin them potatoes, carrots, cat/dog food, & lemon peels. I have not tried apples or orange peel. But I just dont know what to feed them to get them to eat. They just slowly die & then all the others start eating them dead ones. When I first got my leo, I got a batch of supers from a crapy local pet store that orderd, didn't breed, those worms ate just fine. But when I get a batch of supers from a nice fish & reptile store that does breed them, they dont want to eat anything I give them...:( All my worms are dying & its money going down the drain, not much but still, & the smallest batch & can get is 50, & sadly I dont get to use them all because some just die. But now they wont eat at all & are dying fast, what can I do to get the stupid things to eat?? Some one please HELP?!

Try a feed bedding of granulated material such as ground oats or wheat germ. That's my base for my beetle larvae feeder colonies. Then I use potato, kiwi, nori, carrots, apples, salmon-based dog food, and whatever else as supplemental food. Others may do other things, but this works very well for me. Just make sure to avoid excessive humidity build-up in the containers from the fruits and veggies.

I also sprinkle vits+mins on the medium, by the way.

Dried fruit might be an interesting addition that just occurred to me.

Sounds like you don't have enough moisture in with the supers. Although when I used to keep them no matter how much moisture I provided with potatoes or carrots they still turned cannibalistic.

Oh yes, another thing. Instead of using the current bedding you have, I highly suggest Cody's pro gecko gutload. It can be purchased via www.progeckos.com
Really great stuff. Just use it as a bedding for the superworms and add potatoes or carrots for moisture and viola, beautiful healthy supers. The dog/cat good giblets aren't really the best gutload, although some people use them, they do tend to mold if they come in contact with moisture from the potatoes or carrots, thats why the cat/dog food turns white, it's molding.

I use wheat germ mixed with some uncooked oats, vitamins, calicum and some scoops of the protein powder I drink mixed together. Then I lay baby carrots on top and I very rarely find any of mine dead or eaten. I get 250 at a time and that lasts me over a month. Sorry to hear yours are dying :(

Mine used to eat each other too.
I had a tub that was too small, it needs to be very wide not tall.

I used grinded up oatmeal and carrots, they seem to do fine but once the carrots disappears they will start eating each other.

We have less than 1% die off using ProGutload with potatoes and apples. I always order small and medium Superworms though because it seems like some batches of the large ones were dying off. That store might not be selling them as fast as they're producing them. If you're getting really old ones they may die no matter what you do. Just my theory...

Almost all my supers are dead now, the live ones are just laying sideways & upside down & not moving unless I poke them :(

were they large supers!? they might have been ready to Pupae but just died off or the others ate them once they slowed down.
