Here is my gravid Hognose...

She is getting as big as a house... Packing on a couple of grams a day... She is still eating ravonously... Getting all she needs to have some healthy hatchlings... I have been supplementing her with calcium during her gravid stage... Anyway, here is a photo...:main_thumbsup:

I can't wait for baby pictures. I wish I could get a hognose... :-/ Can't have then in GA apparently. I tried doing research to find out otherwise, since other states have similar pet laws in regards to snakes, yet do count hognose as being ok as pets... Not GA. :-(

I have not heard of this... As far as Easterns and Southerns go, this may be true because they are native... Westerns are not and hogs are not technicaly considered a venomous species in any state...

we have wild hog noses in NH but were aloud to have hoggies

Update time...
Just checked on her tonight and she in now starting her pre-lay shed cycle... The crazy thing is that she ate last night and is in blue tonight... She did not eat as much as usual though, which is a good sign... Gravid females eat no matter what... After this shed cycle I am not expecting her to eat much at all...

Anyway, just thought I would keep those who are interested updated on the situation... Next update will be when she lays...
