Hey, should a kid get a fat tailed instead of a leopard?

Everyone has their own opinion. I have kept both. I find that fat tail geckos are more likely to hide a lot of the time. Of course there are leopard geckos that hide a lot and fat tail geckos that are out and about a lot, but generally I find them to hide more than leopard geckos. Ideally fat tail geckos should be misted every evening. Leopard geckos don't need this. I'd recommend a leopard gecko for you. Please don't get a tiny baby. Try to get one that is at least 3 months old to be sure that it will eat and thrive with you. Don't feel that you have to spend all $500 and share all your decisions with your parents.
