How can I get my parcel if its not shipped out...?!

I have bought a lot of stuff on the net these years, most (all) of the time I'm very happy with the transaction. But this time, its really getting on my nerves!! I was looking to buy some coco-fibre mats; looked everywhere, and finally found a place that sell this product and can ship overseas. I also checked the BOI in Fauna to make sure I am buying from a reputable place.

I placed my order on the 19th Nov; I paid the total (including the expensive shipping) via paypal on the 20th. Then I waited and waited and nothing came (I didn't even get a tracking number). After about 2 weeks, I emailed the place 2 times with no reply. Then early this week, I finally received an automatic email that says my package is shipped on the 8th Dec. However, up until today, the tracking info from USPS still shows the following:

"The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on December 8, 2008 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later."

This is so frustrating. I paid 80 bucks on shipping alone, so I expect my package to come pretty fast. If I knew I had to wait so long for a package, I would've asked them to ship via sea mail! That'll save me a lot of money! :furious2:

Sorry for the ranting, I'm not too worried that I'm being scammed; I do believe I'll eventually get what I bought, but just don't know how long. :main_angry:

USPS has the most terrible tracking system I've ever dealt with. I can't even count how many times I've been giving a "tracking number" and had my package arrive before the info is even (or ever) updated. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do once it's hit the system, and there's no way for them to find the package god forbid you ever should need to. It's incredibly frustrating.

I'd assume your package will show up eventually, but I highly doubt you will be able to track it. Do you know if it was Priority, Parcel Post, or First Class? They all have very different delivery time frames.

I wasn't notified of the shipping method, but my guess is via Parcel Post. My past experience is that it takes 5-7 days to get to Hong Kong.

Wow, you get Parcel Post packages faster than we do! LOL Sometimes the tracking doesn't update properly and it will give you that message until it's delivered. So either it's in transit and the tracking isn't working or they printed the label and didn't get it to the postman. It has to be really frustrating trying to order supplies internationally. Good luck!

Wow that is fast for Parcel Post. Parcel Post is the slowest one. I would think that 5-7 days from the USA to Hong Kong is probably Priority. Especially if you are paying $80! But then again, I have no idea how much overseas shipping costs. For a package going Priority from California to get to me here in New York, it takes about 2-3 days. First Class would be 3-5, and Parcel Post would be 4-7.

Priority Mail is the fastest. Also the most expensive, though. The other two are just so damn cheap it's hard to complain about how slow it is....

From my experience, it doesn't even matter how much you pay to have the package sent; it always takes forever! Especially from the States going into Canada.

Silly People

You are all very Silly.

You are talking about a Govermental Orgnaization and you expect business efficiency.

I have to laugh.

If I am sending something through the USPS, I am happy if it ever gets there.

I am sorry to be rude or crude but, when the goverment is in control of something then you have to expect that it will be run as any govermental organization would be.

Some of the USPS Employees care and some of the don't. They do not have to hurry or be efficient because they cannot be fired.

So we must be happy if we ever get whatever it is that we are expecting.:D

USPS Parcel Post is the cheapest method by air; if they let me choose, I always pick USPS Parcel Post, it gets here 5-7 days everytime. The high shipping is probably due to the size of my package...I bought 4 rolls of 2'x6' cocofibre mat; the box is going to be big. With the USPS tracking system, seemed pretty detailed and on time...I wonder if international package are dealt with more carefully?

p.s. I checked on the status again, my package left United States 7:14am 12 Dec finally. I should get it sometime next week. :)

I love how they take weeks to get something within the same country but when it's going overseas they care enough to make it get there quickly. lmao
