This is towards people who have over 10 geckos, not to discriminate but having more means less time to each animal., I try to handle them at least 3x a week but with more u acquire favorites due to personality thus handling some of them less. Also i don't wan to stress them so i leave the anxious one alone more. What do you do???

I try to hold mine at least once a day. I had two little juvies that were really skittish, and Ive noticed that by handling them a lot, they have calmed down more and are way less anxious.

I have 6 but also have 15 snakes. Every reptile I have gets minimum handling. I believe once a week is sufficient. Reptiles are not like normal cats and dogs and do not and some prefer not to be handled dispite what people say.

I go to my gecko room every commercial break, and will pick up and hold whoever is outside...(I keep them in open glass tanks).

It depends on the gecko, I have 10 Leos and each one has prefernces on being handled. I have a few that seem to enjoy being held and happily walk right into my hands. I have a few who like to be pet, but freak if you pick them up. I also have a couple who are of the no touchy mind set and run if you get close to them and fight and thrash if you pick them up. I play with geckos an avg of 4x a week per gecko.

I try to handle my older ones atleast 4 times a week, the newer ones are still settling in so i havent really handled them much. Ive had Maggie less than a week but she is quite calm and was fine walking in my hands the other day so that is a good sign :)

Yoshi is fussy and will sometimes strugle if u pick him up but once hes out he loves it. Daisy is "mamas little baby" and wants to come out and be handled practically 24/7, shes always up for a snuggle :)

I take Kirsa out almost every day, plus I think she'd rather be with me than in her tank, she's always at the glass asking to be held. She always wonders around then gets tired so she decides that the top of my head is the best place to sleep, lol :main_laugh:

I never used to handle my geckos that much since I was always afraid of stressing them or injuring them. I personally prefer to just watch them walk around their tank, oh and of course feeding time is always fun to!!! ;)

I only have one leo and she doesn't like being handled much. I voted 3 to 4 times a week...sometimes it's more sometimes less just depending on her mood lol.

I have over 50 geckos right now. 25 of them are hatchling though. I hold whoever is out. I also keep a lot of small geckos or geckos that don't want to be held. So I don't hold those at all. I hold my leopards and cresteds the most. I try and hold them all every 2 days.

Well I picked both 1-2x a week and all the time. My female doesn't like to be handled much but I still try to handle her from time to time so she can get used to it. My boys love to be out and be held. They often scratch or dig when they want out and I let them walk around to work off some of that energy.

I only have 5 atm (8eggs though) and one of my girls DOSE NOT like to be handled so I only mess with her when it is time to weigh, clean or check on them in general. The rest LOVE being held and taken out of their tank, all 4 will gladly climb into my hand and if I am not fast enough putting my hand in they will climb out on their own lol. So I get the other 4 out just about any time I see them out and roaming around.

i have 5 leos, 2 rats, 7 cats, and a dog so splitting time isnt always easy.
but i get the leos out everyday for a half hour or longer and the rats get "free time" everyday for an hour to play on my bed or me lol.
the cats are always being petted and cuddled, the dog gets petted and walked and talked to so shes happy. my pets are like my friends, they just dont talk back :)

I have 30+ leo's and I dont handle the youngster until they are less skittish and calm down to save stressing them out. I handle the adults when I feed them and water them, when I moisten their hides and do weekly health checks on them all each week.
