I have 33 leo's and I do not handle them more than 1 a week at most. When I clean and feed I dont always handle them, but they are quiete okay with being handled.
If I could have woted only once a week or every fortnight this would have been my wote for the adults. The young ones witch I have to move out of there boxes to clean the box is handled twice a week.

I dont belive in handling the animals - they are not pets. It is important for me they can be handled without too much stress .. f.ex if you have to remove shed or something. BUT other than that I leave the geckos where they are suppose to be.... in the cage/box/terrarium.

I thought this poll was for people with more than 10 geckos ? to me it looks like a lot with less than 10 geckos has voted .. so in my opinion you cannot use this poll at all it is giving the wrong results.

I handle them once or twice a week. Amycus is by far my most calm little dude. He walks up into my hand. Hedwig on the other hand is like Hhhssssssssss "lemmie go lemmie go" ill put her down then a few mins later she is cool and can be handled. All my other kids can be held often but there really is no sense in stressing em out.

We have 12 right now and I answered 1-2 times a week. I think some leos may like it or tolerate being held but (from what ive seen)most don't so I leave them alone. If they walk onto my hand in the cage I'll hang out with them for a little bit though:) We have this one friend who is blindly optimistic about her geckos liking her and we tease her for it. One of her baby sunglows got out and when she found it a few days later it hissed at her and she said "Aww it was like it was calling for its mommy!" Cut to us rolling our eyes haha! She also thought our special needs gecko that flips over when it's stressed was doing tricks for her! :p

I have six Leos, three collared lizards and ten snakes. I handle the snakes each about once a week. I handle some of my Leos about once a week. I like them to be used to handling so it's less stressful when I need to take them out for cleaning etc. I have one male (my smallest) who is a snappy little #$&^%^. I try not to handle him much at all because he likes to bite.

I handle my geckos right out of the egg. They all get picked up so they can crawl up on my shoulder every time they are fed and cleaned, or when I'm in the room and one of them is scratching to be taken out.

Depends on the gecko. But I do like to take them out if they're walking around. I have two or three that are ultra sociable and those will get picked up several times a week.

I have 5 breeders and 17 babies. I handle the breeders at least 2-3 weekly when it's not in breeding season. The babies I handle every other day while I feed them. Not exactly a long handle time but they have calmed down tons since I handle them. They just walk right up in my hand and don't give me grief when I put them back. The breeders I handle when I feed and clean as well but really only if they walk up in my hand and feel like being handled.

We rotate nights that we take them out. We have them divided into groups that we do evry other night ( usually out 2 at a time).

i handle my leo's all the time. My one girl i have had from a tiny baby and she loves being out walking about on us. My other girl is not so keen but settles to walking on my hands. Other 2 leo's are babies ( to young to sex yet i think) they are skittish but I handle them every day and they are calming down.My Uro likes to be hand fed but doesnt really like to be held on to so although I interact with him daily when I am feeding him i dont handle him alot. My crested likes to just sit on my hand and then jump back and forth from one to the other. I try not to have favorites but honestly my Uro and my girl I had from a baby are my favorites.

I take mine out daily, just for 5 - 10 mins since she is still new to me. I got her only a few days ago, we are still in the introduction phase.

I have 17 leos.I pick mine up once a week and handle them.I am fond of super snows so they get handled 2 X.I am working with a 1 yr old Tangerine Tornado that I got March 2nd thats showing some MAJOR behaviour issues and antisocial behavior which I seem to find sometimes with TUG animals. He's being handled 4 X a week.

We have only 2 geckos, my boy we don't handle as much, he doesn't seem to like it. Now the girl my daughter got from Robin of R2 Reptiles was socialized so well, my daughter has her out every time she's in her room and takes her out and about the house as well. My son had a sleepover bday party this past weekend and that little girl was still begging to be held with all the noise going on. *lol*

We also take ours out everyday, whenever we check on them and they are not sleeping. So I picked all the time, all of them get held at least twice a day the very min is once a day. They all seem to like to climb on where ever we are sitting.

About once a week. I need to handle both my girls a little more as they both are a bit skittish when I first pick them up. Once they are in my hands, though, they settle down and just crawl around. I guess I was so used to my last leo who was just so laid back about everything.

I hold my geckos every day :)

I hold the leo, check her out, then I pop her on my shoulder and mist her hide. Then I'll put her back and rinse out water bowl and refill food bowl. And then do the same with the next leo. :)
