Well here's what I found out. Their supplier for their last shippment was indeed Reptile Industries (Mark Bell).

That makes more sense. I have a blazing bliz with solid eyes that I bought from the Bells last year, and know of several other ones. Young Tremper albinos can have red eyes from higher incubation temps, so that may explain the eye color. I guess they didn't have enough normals to fill their order so put in a few BB. Nevertheless, a great score!

And doesnt Tremper pretty much say not to buy from pet stores in "the herpetoculture of leopard geckos" but then he supplies all the ones in my area :main_huh:

Im still thinking ss albinos... Ive never seen a solid eyed blazing, aside from the diablo picture.

I have heard of several people finding solid red eyed blazing blizzards at pet stores and from wholesalers. I have yet to hear of anyone seeing a mack snow of any form in a pet store. If wholesalers were working with Macks, then you would think we would be seeing lots of snows and super snows popping up at pet stores. Since we're not seeing that, it makes more sense to me that these are solid red eyed blazing blizzards, most likely Trempers. Or, I am an idiot. Take your pick

i have a giant tremper albino from ron,but i buy him for 100$ from a guy he has buy him before directly from ron for 350 !!!
...for 350 $....
.....3 stunnig bold stripe from marcia....a really nice RW/RS/bold from dan.....one really nice tremper from paul... some AMAZING BELL from kelli... and and and....(..i can't mentioned everybody )
...so i don't have doubht....i know where i prefer spend mymoney...and all geckos i has purchase from breeders of this forum caming fats , healthy with an eccellent costumer service....

Well, my idea was that he wants to make the mack snow gene look as common as the normal pet store finds, such as jungles, normals, tremper albinos, etc. Plus a SS albino is only two homozygous genes, the DB is three visible homozygous genes plus all the randomness of the raptor project hiding under all that white. Even if you can get a red eyed white gecko for under $20, the DB would still be worth every penny in the eyes of some people because:

A) RT is breeding them
B) the Raptor morph isnt fully understood yet
C) breed a DB to a RAPTOR and you get RAPTORs
D) Breed a DB to an APTOR and you get "APTOR het raptor and DB"
E) DB's are the product of many years of linebreeding and include alot of traits, which takes more time: combining two traits, or combining a bunch with many of them being polygentic?
F) some people like snake eyes
