Well said Kelli, I agree totally, if everyone agreed on everything I think it would be a pretty boring world, yet peaceful, but we ought to be able to disagree without pratically being called mindless or "blindly following a politician", yes I agree with some things our president does, yes I disagree totally with some of the things our president does, but this is one thing I agree in, so let me believe that without insulting my opinion, and I will do the same.

Well said! I think if we all take a step back and remember that each of us have our own minds and do think for ourselves and that we have the FREEDOM to do such WITHOUT JUDGEMENT, then maybe this discussion can be just that and not a war in itself.

I love the idea of this country but I'm ashamed of many of its actions. I gave six years of my life in the protection of it. So don't misunderstand my patriotism. I am just so disgusted with its politics and actions. As if what we did to them the first time wasn't enough we came back a second time and are even worse. We went in with a poor plan and made things worse. We screwed over the rebels the first time we were there and now we wonder why they hate and don't trust us? Not to mention where are the weapons of mass destruction? These people took over some planes with box cutters, not nukes. If we held this country accountable for all of its citizens actions we should be nuked several times over. This is just an excuse to rule the economy and force control over the masses.
Did you know the entire military was given experimental anthrax immunizations a year before the anthrax scares?

You know nasty, for someone so strong on the self promotion, you can't spell--how "responsible" is that? (lazy too, when everyone else knows THERE'S A SPELL CHECKER)--your grammar sucks and you can't even recognize the level of your own ignorance. Not very insightful of you. Arrogance and conceit not only are character DEFECTS, they make you vulnerable. Vulnerable = weak. Your very comments in this thread are a perfect exhibition of the crap mindset that is ruining this country. How does a child become so narrow minded? History has proven that EVERYTHING changes. No matter how convinced you are that you have it all figured out, life will eventually show you how wrong you can be. Good luck with that.

Again, this post is suppose to stay civil, and we all need to agree that everyone is not going to feel the same way on such a heavy topic. There is no sense in resulting to insults, to me that makes us all vulnerable=weak, when we result to insults instead of stating your opinion without hashing out and letting it be, and that goes for everyone here, me included. Lets just share our beliefs, be open minded to everyone elses, and let the chips fall where they may, please.

This isn't a war. This is a police action. The only thing they are their for is to protect the oil as we suck it all out. The oil reserves were the first thing they guarded and the first thing they got working. This has nothing to do with the people of Iraq or oppression, and everything to do with money. My friends and family are in a desert guarding politicians income not protecting your freedom.

Doesnt a spell check make me lazy too? Or just lazy to a different level. We all know the proper thing for me to do is break out my english text book, or a dictionary and look up my misgrammar. Hell I reconize the fact that I spend half and hour everynight chatting with my friends destroying my language in every aspect it was built on. But honestly? Who the hell on these forums cares?

Vulnerable? [n] susceptible to physical or emotional injury
Arrogance? [Adj] overbearing pride evidenced by a superior manner toward inferiors, by inordinance of a tender age.
Pride? [n/ve] Superior bearing in ordinance personification

Why call it arrogance while it can be called pride in one view?
And in the other view isn't it funny that by definition that your the arrogant one? Your picking of a 15 year old child for his bad grammar.

You need to sit back and laugh at the matter...really I'll be your feeding hand one of these years. you should be less worried about my generations screwed up grammar and more worried how were going to lead the world.

really misanthorpe, thank you for your wishes of luck. I'm sure I'll be needing it. I hope my smart ass remarks open your narrow mind, and maybe, just maybe it will sheild you from your own vulnerablity.

;) best of luck to yourself.

I went to australia for a month, very wonderful place. So much to do and soo much to see. If I wasn't living in the US I'm sure that would be the second best place to live.

I for the most part agree with Arconna. I'll be the first to agree that the timing of the Iraq war could not have been worse. I want Osama's head on a platter for my thanksgiving.;) In an essence 9/11 obviously and rightfully so, foreshadowed the horrible deeds of Saddam and CO. The people of Iraq couldn't overthrow Saddam and his regime.(not a prayer in the world). Saddam Hussein massacred and slaughtered the entirety of ones family tree still living, just from heresy. For one individual of that family apposing his ruling he'd take out the ENTIRE FAMILY. They didn't stand trial they were shot in the back of the @#$ing head. ALL OF THEM!!! Women and children alike. Regime members (Iraqi soldiers) freely walked about and raped children and women without repercussions. Great government huh.

Now reflect upon the fact that Iraq is/was the third most wealthy nation world wide.
You think for a minuite that after 1991 they weren't opperating with al-Qaida.
The old saying goes if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck.
Oh and the awnser is "yes" al-Qaida sells were ramped in Iraq.

LOL I'll leave the parenting thing alone.

Well, I for one do not believe Saddam had any connections to Al Qaeda simply because of what is reported for how he dealt with people he suspected of being terrorists. He killed anyone that even had a connection to a terrorist. Not to mention that groups of soldiers that became terrorist organizations have caused damage to Iraq before. Saddam hated terrorists. That's partly a personal choice (possibly because of dealings he made have had before he became dictator or rule or whatever you call him) and partly because he wants to keep his control and having terrorists running around that might turn on him would be detrimental.
Al Qaeda did have people there and supposedly had a training camp somewhere out in the deserts of Iraq, but Saddam himself had little to do with them.
Plus, if we were really going after people who had ties, we have better choices than Iraq :p. Iran for example...they've been supporting terrorist organizations for who knows how long now...
There are far more arabic countries that have ties to terrorist organizations, and al qaeda in specific, that we should be dealing with appropriately. Unfortunately because we have 'good relations' with them we only ask them nicely to stop...

Oi, anyway. I hate talking about 9/11...it's just such a bad spot for me. I can't even watch videos of it happening. I start crying. Most terrible thing to have happened in my lifetime I think, unless someone starts nuking us...

Hugs....HUGS! Send them around!

Oh and I agree on the whole civility thing. We need to keep this civil, but I understand that politics is one of those subjects that gets difficult for people. So, we can always revert back to talking about giving hugs to make the world better...that's happy right?
