I've also noticed a lot less "run ins" on the rest of the forum since having this section here. Something someone posts irritates me, I pop on here and have a look at some of the hilarious pictures people are posting :main_laugh: !! People are able to vent, act like fools if they feel like it, and say WHATEVER they want to a degree. I agree with Kelli 100%+. The Fight Club hasn't crossed any lines. The people that don't want to read or contribute to it are certainly not being forced to do so. Nothing against them, I just don't think a thread needed to be started about it.

I don't see ANYONE 'hashing out differences" here. Instead, it has turned into the "grown-ups acting like kids forum" out behind the barn talking like potty-mouths and posting pics of 'nasty stuff'. I know, I know... I posted a couple of NSFW pics and gave Gregg a hard time about being arrogant and conceited, but is this the purpose of this forum?

I am really having an issue with GeckoForums.net associating itself with this behavior. Go ahead and call me a 'prude' or 'holier than thou'... I can take it. I just wonder if the purpose of this forum is really being used for what it was created for?

Well, I feel like I got jumped on for simply trying to clarify the purpose of this particilar forum. Trust me, I am not a crybaby and I can hold my own in a "Fight Club" situation. It's just that I have a couple of issues:

1.) I am sick and tired of people fighting with each other. Why do we need a forum in order to discuss our differences? What's wrong with directing a problem directly between the associated parties? I don't want to fight or argue with anyone. I would hope that if someone had an 'issue' with me that they could come directly to me and discuss it. I am really not that un-approachable.

2.) I don't have a problem with adults being 'naughty' and cutting loose with language and tacky jokes, etc. Hell, I was raised by a 20-year lifer in the USMC! But I guess my 'issue' is more like I'm having a hard time associating GeckoForums.net with this type of behavior. Like most of you, (Gregg excluded, lol!) I know when to be professional and when I can use the "F" bomb. For me, I just don't feel comfortable talking or acting like that HERE. LOL!!!

Maybe it will grow on me?

I understand, and if you aren't comfortable with using the F bomb or talking like that here then don't! Just because the forum is here doesn't mean you have to use it or even read it.

Marcia, it sucks that not everyone gets along, but that is real life... People are going to fight and not like eachother... We need to be real here... Having a public over 18 forum where people can be called out is a good thing in my opinion... I think if someone fucks up somehow, it should be known... They should be held accountable... If it is brought up in a public setting, it tends to keep people honest and can bring out ones "true colors"... I would expect to be called out if I did something shaddy or retarded... It is also a good outlet just to dick around with people you do like and respect... If you think about it, this "Fight Club" already kept me from verbally bitch slappin someone on the main board... LOL... That has to be worth something right there... LOL...
