you can leave a dish of worms before you go, but make sure you have someone who will come over every other day and clean and fill the water dish :)

I have had to leave my leos and other critters before (several times, each time for a week or so). Make SURE they have lots of water too! Once my DH was feeding them, but didn't give them water, I came back to two very dehydrated babies. I placed them in their re-wetted moist hide (which had dried out too), and they licked the water off the sides of the container and stayed in there a good hour before coming out. They made a full recovery, luckily. The older leos were fine, although there were crickets roaming the tank. Even when you have someone taking care of your leos when you're away, be very specific with their care!
Anyway, a dish of mealies is a great way to feed your leos while away. Every one of my tanks has a bowl of mealies anyway, so the leos can eat whenever they want.

Yup, food isn't as big a concern because you can leave a bunch of mealies. But water is a biggie. Someone needs to refill that water dish while you're away!

They make water dishes that have the reservoirs so you can fill them up and they will keep dispensing water for awhile.

If your enclosure is big enough I would suggest going to a feed store (tractor supply) and getting a water dish for chicks. It lets water get about 1/2" deep and uses a standard mason jar as a reservoir.
