I also think you shouldnt breed them. Like others have said, the one looks pretty young. Do your research. IF you female does end up getting pregnant the chances of the eggs being infertile are pretty good since(im assuming) she is a beginner? I am also new to this but have done my research and know the basics. If you want i can give you some info. Either PM(private message) me or you can email me at-

There are also a lot threads where people give instructions as to how they built their own racks. That is another great option if you're very handy! The ready made racks are nice because they are made of light weight plastic and ready to just plug in to the thermostat but a home made melamine rack can be very cost effective.

edit: Hopefully you your female will reabsorb the eggs since she is way too small to be breeding and you won't have to worry about a rack. The big lesson here is don't leave a male and female together for even a second no matter how old they are.

ok, I actually think my second one might be a girl. But anyway, I wanted to know these things.

@ Geckoboy. What kind of behavior were the gecko's displaying during the 'breeding' incident?

I have never breed any gecko's myself but I have seen a lot of videos on the topic and generally the male will vibrate his tale like a rattle snake and start nipping at the females neck or tail.

The actual breeding itself is not hard to mistake because it does look like they are actually doing the nasty.

If you do a search on Youtube for gecko breeding you can see what it looks like. Is it the same as what you were seeing?

Things are kinda going up and down for me, I don't know if my second one is a boy or not. And I know that when breeding the male bites the neck. He (I guess it might be, all of the right signs) did do that last night, but I took a lot of research and if the female responds like, running away, then that means that she's not ready. Sorry for giving you some up-and-down info.

When my first is ready, I will know what to do.

Halley, that is the one he's talking about... I believe he's either housing them together or just let them play, either way it was a little careless since he just got the baby and didn't quarentine it before introducing it to hte established gecko.
