I am supposed to receive a new gecko today. I've been up since bright and early this morning because whenever I am expecting a delivery, even when its just meal worms, I can hardly sleep. Apparently I missed the delivery somehow. They had my phone number but never attempted to use it. I live right near the gate and never heard the truck. I peak my head out at every noise that sounds remotely like a delivery truck. I don't like to leave Leos in boxes for any longer than they have to be. I've been sitting here the entire time waiting for her. I think the delivery person was in such a rush to finish his/her route that he/she didn't take the time to try to call. There is a security gate, but there is also a call box. It wouldn't have been difficult to take the extra step to get the gate open. Now I'm all grumpy and I'm waiting for F** E* to make their second attempt at delivery, which pushes my day back a little since I can't get involved in anything that will distract me from receiving my Leo, including most importantly right now, hitting the shower. I want my little one out of that box. Aaaaaahhh!!!! OK, I'm done.

I'm sure he/she will be fine. what are you expecting?

I so now how you feel about the waiting and listening for everything that sounds like a delivery truck.

its a little more easy now that when I hear a truck I now its coming for us, out here in the country.

Let us know when your pacage is delivered safe and sound Ken.

She's home! As beautiful as can be. Now I can calm down lol. I was wondering how I missed the first delivery. I found out that initially the delivery man went to the wrong address.

I'm glad she's safe & sound. Congrats on your new little one! Now go take a shower...:main_laugh:

That's happened to me with "them" before too...not only with live shipments, but medications too. I'm glad they came through for you. Post pics when you can!

I'm just glad she finally made it! One of the most frustrating feelings in the world is waiting around for a gecko and then the shipping company blaming you for their failed delivery. One time I watched the driver pull up in front of our house, honk the horn, and then drive away before I could unlock the door. He never even got out of the truck! Thankfully they usually get it right!

Hey ken, Glad to hear she got to you safely and is in your care now mate. I know how it feels to be waiting and worrying about a having something live delivered.

I myself am having two Strophurus taenicauda hatchlings delivered to me today so i have taken the day off work in order to be here when he arrives. He (the breeder) lives about 2 hours away and doesn't like relying on the post as they have been known to be very late , sometimes by a couple of days. for most people outside this state he sends them but im lucky enough to live close. I just give him an extra $20.00 to cover fuel costs.

Again, glad she arrived bro. hope to see pics soon.

Glad to her she made it safe. If I had had the dow I would have got her, you lucky guy. Hope she retains those crisp lavender stripes for you.

Thank you for the compliments. I love her. My male looks like he may have been from a stripe project but he's more abstract, I guess you might consider him jungle. He has really good color. If I only could remember where I left that time machine, lol.

Yeah, deliveries make me SO nervous. I'm always up bright and early...

I had a crestie coming one morning, and I was checking the tracking on the site every 10 minutes...don't know why, as it was out for delivery, but I'm glad I was! It said that the delivery had failed and they would try again the NEXT day. I was ticked. No knock at the door, anything. I don't think they even came to my apt. at all. So I called them up, and told them to hold her at the place. Went to get her, and was there standing in a tiny room for 45 minutes as they couldn't find the package, then the guy comes back and looks behind the desk he was behind when I first came in, and pulled out my package. I was pretty ticked...Thankfully, she was safe and sound.

Glad your girl came to you un-scathed! She's absolutely beautiful! Can't go wrong with a bold stripe.
