Alright, I have a post in the Show off your leos forum with pictures of a few geckos I got today. Two of which have me a bit stumped, one being really exciting as he may be an Abyssinian.

The pictures below are of the probably Abyssinian. I sent the pictures to Ron Tremper, and received a reply from his collections manager as he was not there. She told me that he may be an Abyssinian. After hearing this, I decided to take another look at him and compare him to the Abyssinians on Ron Tremper's site. Well, we certainly believe he may be.
Here you can see the red veins in the eyes a little. I'll be trying to get better pictures later more up close so you can see it better.

Here you can see the faded colors and the speckled tail.

This is truly truly exciting, and I hope to hear back from Ron Tremper himself about this gecko.

Here is the second gecko in question. At first, I thought blazing blizzard, but I think I'm wrong, and several others have suggested Tremper Albino Patternless. Could anyone help me out with her?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I can't tell what Albino strain the Patty is without a better look at the pupil color but I can say that all of our snake-eyed Eclipses have red veining in their eyes. :main_lipsrsealed:

There's no such thing as a Abyssinian there just eclipse's.Red iris vaining is seen in leo's that don't have any eclipse blood so it's nothing new.We just started to noticed it when the so called Abyssinian call to light. But we won't go there:main_lipsrsealed:.

Well, I actually got these geckos for free, from someone downsizing. I can't give anymore information than that.

I have, already, a het raptor female to breed with the het raptor male.

They guy you quoted knows nor about genetics than most... It is highly doubtful that the patty albino is het raptor... If you look around, you will see that some so-called breeders do not know the genetics of their animals... 2 posts on the forum and this is how you start???:main_huh:

Either way, why would he lie? I mean, if I had actually PAID for them, I could see someone lying about the morphs.

I really won't know if she is het raptor until I breed her. Once she is up to weight, along with my male het raptor, I'll test breed her.

I'm really not worried about the 'het' part here.

When I look around, i notice that MOST people know nothing concerning genetics..........or even pseudogenetics for that matter.

You are being ignorant. I consider myself fairly well-versed in leo genetics. I could care a less what that guy knows..............to ID a certain strain based solely on a jpg file is utterly ridiculous! And to say something isn't het for something else is about the stupidest thing I can think of without breeding data and results being analyzed and gathered.

I get it, my post count is low, so I'm an idiot?

This is exactly why I don't like returning to this forum, it's a freaking popularity contest over here. Everyone's an expert nowadays huh? I LOVE getting hatemail from 12 year old girls because she's managed to keep her gecko alive for 2 years without completely killing the thing(not suggesting you are, but venting nonetheless).

I've been working with leos for over a decade, which is more than a good number of people can say. I'm currently committed to a project where me and Ron Tremper are pioneering something truly unique that will have historical implications whether our main goal is achieved or not.

Fortunately a lot of good does stem from these sites, so a few minor annoyances can be tolerated. I'm sorry, but my post count as NOTHING to do with ANYTHING.........everyone starts somewhere. I figured I could help out here, that is if people actually want it.

I'm one of the top ten Top Contributors in the Reptiles Section on Yahoo Answers and am a regular on Kingsnake.com(which is honestly where I spend most of my time)........as i enjoy my kingsnakes and vipers too.
