iPod touch owners

To anyone who has an iPod touch. Do you like it? I'm thinking about picking up the 8gb model but I'm not sure if that will be enough once I throw all my music and some of my videos on there. It seems really fragile even once it's inside a case, mainly the screen.

Do you think the 8gb model will be big enough?

Is it worth the cost? The nano is way too small for me. I checked out my little sisters when I was at the house. I have big hands and I just don't like it.

Is it fragile or is it safe once I put it inside a case?

Honestly anything 8 gig is too small... i mean 8 gigs of music is like 1000 songs and thats ez to put on an ipod. now size ipod touches are just like the iphone and they are ez to hold and are big enough for people with large hands

8g holds 2000 songs and if you ever reach that limit you can delete songs. Itouchs are pretty durable from what I can tell.You will want a case 4 it though.

I don't have an iPod Touch by I do have an iPhone and it's durable. Keith drops his all the time and hasn't had any problems with it. The Touch has a lot of cool features that the other iPods don't from what I understand.

Don't have an iPod touch, but I do have a 80g iPod classic. I have over 6,000 songs on it and it's still not even half filled. It cost my boyfriend (he got it for me for christmas) about $300 and it's still in great shape. I don't personally like the iPod Touch but it does have some cool features to it. I would get more than an 8g though, especially if you have alot of music.

Well i might be alittle bias but i love anything Mac built. If i didn't have to change carriers i would have an iPhone. Touches are great and are very durable. They run OS X so it's a great OS. Safari as your web browser. The only thing that is bad about it is it doesn't have it's own wireless signal like an iPhone.

ipod touchs are great. i really like the apps you can get. also you do want i case bc i put it in my pocket then it cam out with back scratches

8gb is going to be pretty small if you want to also put games and movies on it. I have a 16gb and it is just perfect for me. I would get the plastic cover just in case if you do decide to get one. (its pretty thick). The screen doesnt scratch easily either.

You need to get yourself a Zune. Far easier to navigate. With two button pushes you're listening to music. Way more for your money than any Ipod! :main_yes:

I know they just kind of bounce! it's hilarious, kind of, one of the more expensive phones and you drop and it bounces...no harm done

Yes because Zunes are FLYING off the shelves right now.....tech support for a zune is your typical microsoft tech support. I know at least 4 people that had to take their zunes back because when music was uploaded it would turn off their zune. i know 10x's the amount of people that have iPods and i can't say anyone has had a problem.

I've wanted one since their debut, but my music collection is all lossless so until the 160gb model comes out I won't even considering getting one... Well maybe if I won the lottery or something...

Yes because Zunes are FLYING off the shelves right now.....tech support for a zune is your typical microsoft tech support. I know at least 4 people that had to take their zunes back because when music was uploaded it would turn off their zune. i know 10x's the amount of people that have iPods and i can't say anyone has had a problem.

Two things to take into conciderations.

I have the Bose, and other stereo type player/speakers and link for my car all three require me to take the case off.

Second is if you do plan on getting a speaker set or a stereo type player for it, make sure it either says it's compatible with the Touch or iphone.

I was afraid I would have to take the case off when I put it on a stereo dock. Oh well, small hassle I can live with.

I didn't want a debate over which mp3 player was better and I asked for information on the iPod touch, not zune sorry.

edit: I'm ordering the 16gb version Tuesday when I have the money. Where do I get all these apps I keep hearing about? The apple store?

on iTunes. just got to the App store and download them there. there are some that are free as well as others you will have to pay for. but you will NEED itunes.
