My Female's laid 18 eggs and I am not seeing anymore, but she is a month under being 2 years old. Her weight is good and her health is fine, she is not with the male anymore. The curious thing is that she laid eggs 13 and 14, then nothing for a whole month then all of a sudden she started laying again. I lost eggs 15 and 16 due to the lay box being too moist and I've got 17 and 18 in the incubator. Hopefully she does not lay anymor but if she does what should I do?

Just keep putting them in the incubator. My first timer female who is just past a year old has laid 22 eggs so far (12 clutches --10 two-egg clutches and 2 one-egg clutches) and I don't know if she's done or not. I make sure to feed her every day after she's laid instead of every other day like most of the adults. I promise, she'll stop eventually.

I just do not want her to crash from too many eggs being laid. She is taking calcium in, because I watched her lick it out of her dish the night before she laid her eggs. Her weight is still good though.

so they technically can breed like "mice"? every 6 weeks or so?

As far as I understand it, they can be bred once and the female can retain sperm for the during of the period that she will be laying. My female lays a clutch almost 2 weeks to the day apart.

This is my first year breeding and as such I am still learning, even after reading for almost 4 years on how to breed and care for leopard geckos.

some geckos just lay alot, I have an enigma that laid 22 last year she hasnt been bred this year she is still on hiatis, I will be breeding her in august which is exactly 14 months since she was bred last year she laid for 5 or 6 months and they were all fertile she actually did'nt lose much weight either, I've found as long as you stuff food down them between lays and feed them tell they stop eating, and not just put the normal amount in they dont lose alot and stay pretty thick, I especially use alot of supers they seem to stick with them for a while not burning them off so to speek and thats good when they stop eating to lay for a week or so, she will be fine as long as she gets her calcium and food so she doesnt deplete too much.

Been away for a few days. When I left it had been almost the 2 full weeks since she had last laid and I saw no eggs in her. She will not be breed this year. I will most likely just focus on my cresteds this year.
