Is Green good?

Each shed my Lola goes through puts more and more green on her. It's very pale yet, and when I try to get a picture, the flash drowns it out. But she shed yesterday and she has more green over her eyes (like eyeshadow) that she never had before. Also at the base of her tail and along her back where her formerly black spots have faded to grey... many of those grey spots have also turned green.

Is this a good thing? Normal for them to have green on them?

Oh no this sounds like the begining stages of verdegenesis. We will have to see how this one develops! :D

lol yes, green is good. Or rather. It isn't bad. Just happens to be part of the coloring sometimes. Usually it's a transition color as the darker spots fade away, but occasionally the coloring stays. I think it looks cool

I have wondered if the green or blue green between the eyes on top of the head will go away or change myself...... you are right, some colors are hard to photograph. Also, some spots seem faded and others well defined. I assume when they reach a certain age their pattern will be more consistent? I was told that white band behind her head might go away. I hope she keeps the lavender.

:main_laugh: That color is their eyeballs showing through just thin skin. Most leos have that blue/green color above their eyes because its their eyeballs, lol. Some leos their color and/or patteren make its harder to see.

It would basically mean "formation of green," so yeah, I'm afraid your gecko is afflicted. :tongue3:
Yes, the white collar usually goes away and the eyeballs become less visible through the skin. The rest of the green may or may not persist.

Krow is right... what you are seeing is the eyeball and associated musculature just beneath the skin...although, these tissues are dark red, they appear green/blue under the skin... just like your own veins.
