My leos sleep ALL the time! during the day...which i expect, but at night too. they wake up...go to the bathroom, go have some dinner and go back to their rock hides that are on top of their heat pads and konk out again.

You can't blame them, considering they are near the bottom of the food chain it is just natural instinct.

My gecko does that too. But it's a very light sleeper. Touch it's cage and it wakes up.

You probably miss when they are really active, unless you are up all night long. Besides- there isn't much to do other than the stuff you listed. :p

My gecko does the same, but i find she gets really active when i leave the room. I often walk in and find her climbing on top of one of her hides.

Well I just like to think of it as that they are just spoiled. Kind of like my dog. All he does is eats and sleeps. Take him outside and he comes back in and goes right back to sleep. How nice it would be to be a pet of a good owner.

Mine tend to be active really late at night, like Marcia said.
If I check on them at 2 or 3am they are usually out.

At dinner time (around 7pm) they are all in their moist hide. I just wave the cricket cup and they come out. After eating, they sprawl out on the floor for an hour or so, then retire to whichever cave suites them. When I skip a feeding, they are ready the next day for food. I skip maybe 2 days out of the week as they are not babies anymore.
Sometimes, they are out night and day and dont use the hides at all.

Have you ever noticed how friendly they are when you have something they want (like yummy meallies), and after they get it, they ignor you?
LOL! :D

I think chasing crickets around is the highlight of their entertainment!!
(I get a kick out of it too!!) :main_laugh:
