Calc Worms.

My rat loves to eat mealworms. I got that info from google. but not on waxworms and superworms. they seem dont give right info. Can you tell me issue? D: I wanted to give my rat treats like that.

Thank you!

My hamsters ate mealies once in a while ... supers would've been huge for them, but I guess a rat could take one. Don't have much experience with larger rodents, sorry.

I've fed my rats superworms before. The others, I dunno. They should be fed sparingly because they have a lot of protein. You should check out this great rat forum: The Rat Shack.

a friend of mine used to toss his rat whatever feeder he was using for the geckos as a treat. This included mealies and waxies. I'm not sure about supers, though and he never fed phoenix/calcium worms to the geckos. I don't see what harm it would do to give yours a treat or two like that once and a while. But don't make it, like, a staple in his diet or anything lol

I've seen and heard of people giving their rats mealworms and supers to munch on. Not sure how healthy it is, but rats are omnivorous.
