Buttercup is better. She is eating anything in site and gaining a lot of weight.

Bones, like I said, still isn't eating the way I would like, but I think live food and slurry should get him back at the top. His eye is cleared up at least.

Good news!

Bones is up to 30 grams and Buttercup is at 49 grams!

I'm still having trouble getting Bones to eat right, but with the slurry, he is gaining some weight.

Two of my rescues looked the exact same as yours- same morphs and everything. Congrats on the progress, it's very rewarding.

Last night i noticed Bones was going into shed. I checked on him this morning to make sure he got it all off.

He was dead.

He was active last night. Moving around trying to get the shed off.

I'm not sure what happened to him. His stomach wasn't hard, but I think it could have been impaction. I thought the lack of poop in his tank was because he wasn't eating but I have been feeding him slurry for over a week. Not force feeding him, but letting him lick it off his nose. There should be some sort of fecal in the tank from the slurry, but there isn't.

I am guessing the 2 grams he gained was food in his stomach.

I am really upset over this. I honestly thought he was going to make it. I know not all of them can be saved, but he was so active that I thought he was going to be fine.

Where did I go wrong?

I peeled the rest of his shed off, closed his eyes and buried him in the back yard this morning.

Oh babe, you know that you did nothing wrong. We tried really hard to save these guys and this one just didnt have it in him. He was too far gone when we got him. I know your upset =/ But all we can do is put more energy towards the other guys <3 It will be fine.
