yea my ackie has been on his dirt since july and the leaves are nice and composted and holds a good burrow
............... Any bugs that are hitching a ride have evolved to bother North American herps and will not do any damage to any reptiles from the Middle East. I have also made sure that the the soil and furnishings were taken from areas that have not been treated with any pesticides.The only thing I would worry about with soil collected from outside is the possibility of bugs hitching a ride that may contain pesticide traces. Obviously, since your animals have been in this setup for a while that's not an issue, but for newer owners, be careful about where you get your stuff from.
