due to our unseasonably cold temperatures we have been having to use the heat a LOT more than we ever have. due to this kinky has had a horrible shed. so, it being 2:00AM i decide to give him a soak. sounded like a good idea. he wasn't happy :-/

anyhow after hooking him out of his cage we went to the tub for a soak and a swim :)

by the way i lost no blood :main_thumbsup:

he is not amused

ok this was towards the end, i has just got some shed off his face. you can tell he really is not amused here. he was trying to squirm out and bite me :main_rolleyes:

kinkybath.jpg

now he is back in his enclosure roaming around :main_robin:

i hate this cool dry weather :/

south texas is not meant to be this cold :main_angry:

sorry for the crappy photos. it was me, kinky, the tub, water and i grabbed my camera and snapped these.

a '99 hatch so 11 years old (or rather coming up on 11). he had a such a slow and rough start to life. who would have ever thought he would have made it?

he is not a big guy at all (he got a very very very late start) but he is ours and we love him :)

He's so gorgeous Robin! It was hard being at NARBC and not bringing a GTP home. I love how they look!

He looks awesome robin. Great pics as well. Great start or not he is looking very nice.

before we got him, he was nearly put down because he had been assist fed for the first year and a half of his life (he was a very weak baby). he had only taken one live pinky on his own, in his entire life. he was a 1/4 the size and girth of his siblings. the breeder honestly did not think he was going to make it (she gave him to us) and we knew this was most likely the case but we wanted to try. we took him home set him up and two days later offered him a very very small fuzzy. he struck it, wrapped it and ate it and has not missed a meal since! here he is almost 11 years old.

they are gorgeous to look at but if you cant handle being bitten do not get one. i mean not all of them are bitey but they will try and bite from time to time hehe they are nippy as youngins too!
kinky is very well mannered and rarely ever tries to bite. he has never gotten me but he has nailed russ before LOL but those occasions are few and far between.

LOL this is the last time russ got bit by him (about 5 years ago)

We held one at a show that was tame, but I know that most aren't. It would definitely be a snake that would get handled by my husband if we got one.;)
